THe mural is one that they just got done here in town and this is only part of it. The sawhorse things are real but they look like part of the painting I will try to get a better picture with the whole thing in it after the 4th.

The road (101) is right in front of the mural so its hard to get a picture without cars in it with all the traffic right now.

The kid is my Daughter in her 4H stuff.

The birds are swallows (duh)

And a fly

Very pretty all of them!!! (Well, except the fly, but that is cool how close up it is). Where in N. CA is that mural? We have driven the up 101 so many times, though I haven't in about 8 years. I will let my hubby know since he goes up there every winter.

In Crescent City.

Its just past the harbor a little ways and on the right hand side before coming into town.

The town is just starting to get into painting murals. We really need something to make this place stand out.

The tidal wave we had in 64 took away any charm this place had. The town was wiped out and when it was rebuilt it was just never the same.

Now its just kind of a dirty town.

Where does your hubby go every winter? Fishing?

I was thinking that was the lighthouse

OMG!!! Do you live there???? That is where we go to fish!!!! And have been for like 25 years. My husband's dad probaby was going 20 years before that. We also go to Brookings. My husband wants to retire up there but I keep telling him no way as I never saw any horses. ( I wasn't into minis last time I went)

My goal is to get up there with him this coming winter so I will look for the murals! And horses!!!

Yap that is where I live. Your right there are not many minis here. I think I have the only two mares in town.

I only know of four other 2 geldings and two studs.

If I could get a key to the gate of Lake Earl Wildlife area a person could take their cart out there and have a good time but right now you have to lift the cart over the gate  I have done that a couple of times but its a pain. Brookings as one person that raises minis "winterflower farm" The closest place that has mini events as far as I know know is Central Point Oregon. They have a show in August.

Do you ocean fish, or river fish?

Wow that's quite a mural.

Your daughter keeps getting prettier.

You guys coming to Central Point?

I have been to Lake Earl, but never inside. My husband says they even have a big theater now!! Last time I went all that was there was a really old one.

I don't show my own horses, at this time but I would love to have a place to drive, though I don't have a driving horse right now :bgrin

Well I wouldn't call the theater big by other towns standards  It has I think six screens but some of them are pretty small.

The old theater is still there, still have the drive in movies to, I think its up to $10.00 a car load.

Home Depot should be about ready to open by this winter. Its across from the fairgrounds. There was a K Mart there for a few years but it closed up and got tore down for Home Depot.

I don't know if I will still have my mares by this winter, I have been looking for a really good home for them.

Do let me know when you come up, we can have coffee at one of the coffee places that have cropped up all over since you were up this way last

Hi Liz

Yes we might be there. If I don't have my mares anymore I will bring up my trailer, cart and harness with a for sale sign on them.

I don't know if they are haveing that aution again but even if they do I won't be selling my girls that way.

My camera is a Canon PowerShot S2IS.

I like the closeups that it takes and I like the zoom but every thing between is still a mystery to me
