Oh Christina, I'll be praying for your kitty. I'm dealing with a sick kitty as well. Our little bob-tailed Buttons is, I think, prolapsing his anus

: I'm waiting on the vet to open to see if we can get him fixed up without it costing too much.

Please keep us updated. That is pretty much what happened to Hannah's kitten a couple of weeks ago. Baby kitties are so fragile

its 9:45 now. i've been working on her since 5:30. I've been giving her surup. She's just so tired its hard to get her to eat anything. I'm letting her sleep right now and just watching her. She's a little fighter or she would be gone by now, i think her blood sugar just got too low. And she's going potty now and getting some milk down. If she makes it threw the day i think she'll be in good shape

Can't help with the eating part, I think you are doing all you can. Take her to the vet soon if she's not showing improvment.

As for the sores............It sounds distinctively like Ringworm!!! Especially if the other kitty has it too. Cats are very prone to ringworm and it spreads easily. Usually on their faces, ears and paws. I would take her to the vet, have it confirmed and start treating...FAST before it spreads more. If the vet confirms ringworm he/she will tell you the steps to take to disinfect everything, including yourself. For now, be wary about your hygiene....wash with betadine if you have it.

Good Luck!

About five years ago (on Thanksgiving day), I had a kitten that was up and playing, and the next thing I know, he is laying flat out lifeless on the ground with a stream of poop behind his little body. I picked him up in a panic and he was not responsive. I called a vet who answers his phone 24 hours a day for emergency calls, and although he wasn't open, he did tell me to try to rub my little guy and syringe sugar water into him. Within a few minutes the kitten was coming to, so I started giving him some sugar water. Next thing I know, he's totally fine and we've never had a problem since. The vet said that if their sugar level is too low, it makes their bodies shut down, and the sugar gives them a sudden "high". I don't know if that is what is wrong with your little one, but it sounds like you're already giving it a form of sugar water. I hope that's all that your kitty needs. Good luck!

someone else suggested ringworm. I have been giving them bathes daily and it has greatly improved. The third kitten nor the mom has it. When i first saw them they had mud on them and were the mud was the sores were. She's doing much better. Not as alert as i would like her to be but she's gone potty and is crying which is great cause she was quiet all day and it had me worried sick. And she's looking around. I just need her to suck on the bottle and i can relax some. I was so sure i was going to lost her. I'm glad she's a fighter. Keep praying for lil Meiko!!

Yes it sounds like ringworm- stop wetting it you will cause it to spread even more, keep it dry, clip all the hair for half an inch around the actual bald bit and, so long as you can make sure she does not lick it you can use an athletes foot preparation.

Otherwise you need something for cats foom a Vet.

Have you wormed these kittens??

The bald spots may still be bad even if it's not ringworm. After shaving around these spots, be sure to CLEAN and DISINFECT or throw away the blade you use to prevent whatever it is from spreading. You should also be very careful about how you are handling these cats by keeping them in one area that is easy to clean and disinfect. Do NOT use bleach or products ending in -sol (such as Lysol) as these products are very poisonous to cats. If I were you I'd wear latex gloves when handling these cats and wash my hands well afterwards. I'm so paranoid, I'd probably also only wear a special set of clothes and shoes around them for sanitary reasons. I'm curious why you don't just take these cats to a vet for help? Cats are very sensitive animals and it can become very serious very quickly when they need medical attention.

About bottle feeding, I suggest trying an eye dropper. I've never found a bottle that was made properly for a small animal to drink from as most release either too little formula or too much. Good luck!

While it does sound like ring worm I would still take this kitten to the vet ASAP! This kitten could have a virus and also if cats do not eat they can get hepatic lipidosis which will eventually lead to failure and death.

This sounds pretty serious!

Hope all goes well

I am giong to be different and say that it could be (instead of ring worm and if anyone is eating dont progress on)

Maggots if this was an outside cat and mom cat had her in the wrong place or one of the babies died ect. I had never heard of this before but whenI first moved here to ID a friend had a barn kitty that had babies and they had these spots with no hair at all and skin was kinda crusty/wrinkly she was not one to take them to the vet. Finally when they were half dead (not all the kittens were acting like this just a few) her assistent took them and found out they were literally being eaten alive by maggots. She lost a couple as they got weaker and weaker but a couple and mom survived. The assistant had them in her house and held /played with them a bit and never noticed

I know totally EWWWWWW but guess it can happen
