Snausages, Canine Carryouts, Pupperonis are all Del Monte Distributors and all on my counter!

Also up there is Pounce for Larry. I just went out this evening and got a pack of string cheese that I use for classes and cut them up and put them in a snack sized plastic bag and in the fridge. That is what I'll be using for their snacks along with Milkbone hard buiscuits (Kraft makes those.)

I just bought two packages of Canine Carryouts, they do not contain wheat gluten. I'll be double checking the list, but as they don't have gluten in them, they are likely safe.

Does anyone know if the food back then was contaminated?
According to all the news reports, the contamination has occurred only in food manufactured since Dec. 3rd 2006.

What people do have to realize is that pets do die from kidney failure, even when there is no problem with the food that they eat.

"organic" isn't always safe either. Look at the different times when organic alfalfa sprouts have caused illness in people because of the "organic" manure they were fertilized with.
Minimor is right here....just because it's organic, doesn't mean it is more safe!!! There are MANY dangers in truly organic farming etc....people just don't think about it because it is so 'natural'. And I'm not bashing organic things here, I truly feel they have their place, HOWEVER people shouldn't be thinking that they are always more safe.....

This is true, however, under the circumstances, it appears that it will be a safer choice right now with all that is going on in the pet food industry.

: The list of recalled foods keeps growing, so I think looking for a locally made alternative is a safer bet.
