Hi--I'm new.

I found this site through a link from another horsey BB about in-hand obstacle competitions for small ponies. This looks like a great site!

I would love to know more about in-hand competitions! Does anyone here know about it?

There was a really good thread recently over on the mini forum about training for obstacle. Mini and pony halter obstacle is done very much the same.

Lewella, Which mini forum is that you are talking about? I have missed this one and need to start training for obstacle.

What type of in-hand compeitition?

There is Jumper in hand, Hunter in hand, Halter, Showmanship, Obsticle in hand.

The AMHR/ASPC rulebook tells allot indepth about each and the class itself.

I don't know what type of in-hand. I don't know anything about the competitions. I would just like to learn about a way to show my pony because I think it might be fun for both of us. All I know of where I live are dressage shows and hunter-jumper shows, so there's no one to ask about other kinds of competition. I was hoping someone on this board might be able to help.

The mini forum here on lilbeginnings :bgrin Just go down to the bottom of the page and click on the drop down menu and click on miniature horse forum and it will take you there.
