Wanalynn found Patty Twink rolling vilently when she went out to clean stalls at 10 AM! She called me at work and I rushed home to see her in full blown colic! We gave her a shot of banimine and waited about 30 minutes to see if she would feel any better! Still rolling so we loaded her in the trailer and took her straight to the hospital! They gave her another shot and tubed and oiled her! Took some blood and she was anemic (sp).
Her blood count was 15 to 18 and should be 35 to 40. The vet did a fecal test for worms. no worms! ( They were just wormed Tuesday of this week)
Her colic stopped for now, but she in an empty stall with water only until she passes some manure! She's to have no feed or hay until she passes the oil she was given at the hospital! After she gets over this round of colic she will go back to the hospital for more tests to find out whats making her so Anemic! So far she just resting and no poop yet! Please keep little Patty Twink in your prayers! Little Angel can't understand why daddy took her best buddy away! :-(
