We delivered a premie foal Monday night at 11PM Very tiny filly! She out of one of our mares and we are pretty sure she only 281 days gestation! Working around the clock to feed her and keep her warm, she's not strong enough to stand yet and has very little hair! We're working like fighting fire to keep her going! So far she's strong and healthy! Anyone with experience with a premie, we're open to all ideas. Say a little prayer for her!

Bill & Wanalynn, sounds like you are doing all the right things. Feeding her hourly plus keeping her warm are the most critical. Good luck with her and I hope to hear improving news soon.

Prayers for your little filly

I have had them born at 300 days and they were fine. 281, wow, that is early! Keep up the good work

she couldn't be born to a better place..I know you will give her 300%...wishing you the best with your new little one

Sure hope all is still going well for your little one.

Sounds like you all are doing all you can to save her, be sure she stays warm, she won't digest her food if she gets to cool and don't forget Probotics along the way as their little systems need all the help they can get.

Good luck with her, it is a tough job to get them going when they are so early.

Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers...hope she is doing okay.

Bill, My thoughts are with you.

About 2-4 years ago Dick and Janet Houck of A1 Houck Miniatures in Wisconsin had a VERY early premie... around the same gestation... He made it...

They were also working around the clock.

You may want to contact them about all of the things they did to keep him warm and nourished.

Hoping all goes well.

Will be keeping you in my thoughts today......

The first 24 hours are the most critical, as you probably know. Bless you.

Also just wanted to add my best wishes and prayers for your little one.

Keep up all your good work.

Love is a great "medicine" too!

Keep us updated please.
