pros/cons for fly masks

Good idea Sue. I ordered 3 masks for the 3 mares that had the sore eyes and seemed to be bothered more then the rest. Their eyes are so much better already. I got the earless ones as we don't have the gnats. So far so good.

I use fly masks with ears on our minis that go out on grass where the gnats tend to chew up their ears. For my big horse that was out 24/7. I did not remove his at night and he had no problems at all with it. I also make sure if a bad storm is forecast that everyone has a mask to protect their eyes in case of flying debris.

Yes, they do get rubbed off on fences and it would be nice if they came in neon colors!
