Journey is sired by a black pinto stud, and momma is a silver dapple. Just wondering on her coloring. I was thinking flaxen liver chestnut but she seems to have minimal white patches that come and go. I know AMHA won't allow her to be classified a pinto because of the roaning white patches, but is she in fact a pinto? Thank you!

on the picture, it's hard to tell, but she has a white patch near her withers, another near her flank, and another near her elbow.

She is a silver black (silver dapple) looks to me.

If you're wondering about pinto, you can always do genetic testing to be sure! Pinto markings don't "come and go" because the skin is pink and the markings are defined. Can you get close up pictures for us?

Silver dapple -- I love the color

She looks silver to me too. She could even be a minimal tobiano and/or hiding frame, so I'd test her for everything. I wouldn't bother to test her for sabino, however. Have you pictures of her sire?
