We were just given a really nice viceroy by a friend! It does need restored, though, and it's originally horse sized. The shafts are steel and we believe they can be cut down and welded easily, but what sized wheels do you all use? This has the bigger 24" ones on it. It looks like the bigger Minis could pull it with the bigger wheels, but they would need replaced anyways, they are pretty beat and rusted. The body needs refinished and a new floor but otherwise it's really neat! We always wanted one!!

Edited to add:

OK, looking at pix on the Web, our new cart is actually a fine harness buggy, not a viceroy.

Still, we're thrilled!!

Oooooooooooooo, lucky you! I'm searching for a fixer upper for a winter project so that hubby and i can work together in the shop. He can work on his car and I'll work on my wagon. Thing is, I haven't been able to find one!

You need 20" wheels for minis. Tin Top Carriage in Weatherford might be able to help you with painting wood and metal. A chrome place in Ft Worth can do the chrome. Good luck!

Thanks, Val!

The body is actually fibreglass and the frame is steel. It does need a new floor in it as the wood rotted out, and the covers just disintegrated. But it's sound and strong, so we just can't wait to play with it!

Of course, now we need a fine pleasure horse, because our WCP horses sure ain't gonna cut it!

Hey, we still need pictures! We bought an old Vicerory last year and I (sort of) fixed it up. My granddaughter had a good time this year driving my old gelding in it. It was a good thing for us as she felt more secure in the four wheel for some reason and it was what got her to drive alone (I couldn't fit next to her). Oh, should mention that she is only 7.
