My hubby hates me wearing his shirts cuz i put bumps in them!!!

My daughter sold me on mens clothes, she discovered the same sandal in the mens department made a hundred times better and for less money they last 4-5 years while womens last a year if your lucky.

I also agree about the sweaters there are no warm sweaters in the womans line.

I go to L.L. Beans and buy a mans sweater. Isn't that sad.

Why do we put up with it. Well guess they can afford to lost millions of dollars each year because most people DON'T buy them.

And how about all the tops now come to your bellybutton or mid drif? Chances are if you are a plus size your not going to want your belly showing!! Duh how hard is that to figure out!

Well, I love the shirts as the sleeves are long enough. But, the jeans just don't cut it; I have a waist and it's not the same measurement as my hips; granted I have to look long and hard for jeans long enough, but that's what the western stores are for. My biggest complaint about the women's department is the price... Womens western jeans $40 on up; men's $20-35 for basics. And, they change womens styles and cuts just about as quickly as they come they are gone.

I can't find pants anywhere that fit me, because I'm built like Humpty Dumpty. mens, womens, doesn't matter. One looks just as yucky on me as another. But the price difference is obnoxious. "Oh look, this is for ladies, lets sell if for three times what a guy would pay for it!!"

I shop at Salvation Army now. No way am I paying $40 on a single pair of pants when I can buy a whole wardrobe for that much second hand. If I'm going to over pay for something it is going to be something for my dogs or horses, not something for my frumpy backside.

At least you have that option. I live in a small community, comprised of short people.

: There are no recycled clothing shops with longs or talls for women. There are a couple of second hand clothing stores and they are utterly disgusting.

I'm lucky enough to BE one of those short people, though I often have to hem pants because of you tall people!!! (hehe) However my husband is REALLY tall and thin and we can never find him clothes second hand. heck, we can rarely find him pants that fit brand new, because he needs 34 or 36 waist and at least 38 inseam. Most of his pants are two inches short in the leg because the only place we can find pants long enough is big and tall, and even then they are usually too big in the waist if they are long enough in the leg.

We have a couple of nasty second hand shops around here too. I go there ONLY when I am looking for junk stuff to cut up and make into other things. But we have one big Goodwill store and two HUGE (think the size of an average Kmart store) salvation army stores a short drive from me (eh, by short I mean less then two hour drive. Not too far since I only go three times a year or so). They are really nice, they only sell clothes in very good clean condition, and they are still super cheap. I count my blessings for that, and my husband does too, because he knows if we didn't have those stores i would never buy clothes for myself and I would be looking REALLY ratty.
