It never fails. These three love to keep me company when I lay down to read a book.

This is Timmy. He does not allow the other dog or the cat to sit on me. He's bossy like that.

My constant companion, my reading snuggle partner, my study buddy, is my shih-tzu, Watson. If I am in the house, he is with me. Little turkey! He watches each morning to see what kind of clothes I put on. He knows the difference between a dress (office) or "just staying home" attire. If it's a dress I put on, he makes me go hunt him out in the yard before he comes back in the house. his chin has a specific spot on my thigh. Curls in right there, sofa or bed, which is where I "read" (listen to audio books) at home.

It's amazing how attached they get to us, isn't it? And how smart they are! My cat Taz, which was recently really sick, has always had to keep an eye on me. Even when he was a baby, if I went into a room and shut the door, he'd sit outside the door and meow or try to scratch his way in until I came out of the room. A habit he still does, but now he sounds like a siren when he cries. Lol.

My cat Binx (black cat in picture) is driving me crazy. For the past week he's decided that he's jealous of my books. He'll come and lay right infront of me on my book, so I'll give him my attention instead of the book. Poor neglected kid. Lol.
