First of all let me just say that the tiara pic is adorable. Let me also say that dwarves look their most normal as babies. As they age the limb abnormalities increase, head size and abdomen get larger and more disproportionate. At 7 his internal organs are done growing but in these pics they have not. With dwarves, their innards grow but their skeleton doesnt. He appears to have a roached back, large head, short neck legs that are too short for his body and nostril placement is consistant with dwarfism, Most 6 month old foals legs are long compared to their bodies. If you notice normal foals next to their mothers, their legs are almost as long as moms. This little guys legs are the shortest part of him. Even the difference in the summer pics vs winter pics you see that the legs look proportionately shorter compared to his fuzzy self. There is no doubt that this is a dwarf. He can do his therapy job well IF he doesnt need to climb steps etc to get into wherever he is going. That would prove very tough on his legs. You would need to build a ramp so there wont be any jumping involved. Feeding him will need to be very controled and watch for colic and resp problems . For him to have made it to 7 is pretty good as most dwarves dont live that long. If the orriginal owners were saying he was perfect and correct then they know nothing about conformation. Steff, If you get him please geld him. He will be much happier and so will you. Also when you present him to your town council to get approval for miniature horses in your town, please dont tell them that this is an average mini because if they change the ordinance to allow miniature horses, that opens it up to the normal 34-38 inchers and the town will feel duped into the decision. They wont be happy with that then.

If they have already cashed your check then there isnt anything you can do. The fact that they have your deposit but arent responding to your requests is suspicious. If he was in a petting zoo somewhere then there should be documentation somewhere , maybe google the owners and see what you come up with.

Listen to your gut.... they dont usually fail us.

I just had a wonderful forum member contact me that she might be able to go visit PeeWee in person, she lives in Kentucky, I would just love to get recent photo's of PeeWee and a current measurement on him to know for a fact that I am getting what I am being told.

Cross your fingers, lets hope she's close enough to swing in for a visit!
