Some really nice horses went through that sale. I would love to have a few. I am cutting back and didnt bid. I would love to see pics of anyone who did buy. Also which ones would you buy if you could.

I watched the auction off and on while we were burning some pine we cleared. I would like to be able to purchase a few Rowdy line mares to breed to our Buckeroo son. There were several listed in the catalog that I liked. I contacted Toni and got a bidder number but in the end I was good and only called once (I was quickly outbid as I think she sold for $5500) Transportation is a big deal for us it seems. There are a lot of good deals out there right now but since we are in Florida, transportation costs can be more than the price of the horse.

We were there for awhile

only the first 16 horses

had to get back.

But we were good and sat on our hands

would love to have had a few or even 1

there were some beautiful horses for sure

But had suff to get done at home

and do not need another horse right now

I know what you mean. We were going to go but we had horses leaving and it was my birthday so we had plans. I am glad because it would have been so hard. I really liked number 43 and she no saled her. She wanted 2000 and that was just a bit too much and I am down sizing anyway. So I can dream!!!!

I understand the transportation problem...

I didn't watch the auction, I'm on dial-up; but did look at the catalog and there were a few that I would have loved to have added to my herd, but transportation costs to the middle of nowhere Montana are astronomical. [There is a transport company in my state, and even they don't travel here.

] So, I didn't bid either (and my husband says I have too many anyway).

Mother of God, thank goodness I wasn't able to watch. This is the mare I really liked and have the perfect stallion to breed her to. Knowing me, I would have thought that $2,000 was a steal and alas I would have had another horse to try and squeeze in my barn.

Sample MM- She was already vet checked in foal mind you!!!! To this awesome stallion. I am still thinking of her. I was even tempted to emal Reece! I only live 40 min from her.

There were two that I wanted to bid on REAL bad, but I was a good girl and sat on my hands. I am supposed to be cutting back a little, not buying more. ........ we'll see how long that lasts LOL....................

I did a bit of both, even sent in an offer on a mare after the sale, but she was sold so was out on that. There is a filly that no saled that I am talking to Toni about, and a mare in foal that I was also considering.

I haven't heard back from Toni, but she has a lot on her plate, with two family members in the hospital, plus they had that open house yesterday. So, we will see what today brings.

Would that be Lot #25 sfmini? She was my absolute favorite! I am STILL sitting on my hands.....................................

No, it was 17 and I think 64. 17 is the one I really wanted, but she has sold so no go there. Guess I will just hang on and wait for the right fit.

I had a number and watched from home through the first half - it must have run pretty late as it was 6pm when we stopped watching and I think only half way through. I never called in but boy did I kick myself MANY times! LOL

I was glad to see some high prices on good horses (helps the industry), understood and agreed on the no sales, and also shocked at those that actually sold low. We're still kicking ourselves on several but with dial up we were horse or two (or three or four) behind so much as I wanted to jump in there and grab the last bid - it wouldn't have worked. LOL

One I was sure would no-sale and was literally sick over the sale bid - that was a huge shock! Never in my dreams did I think Toni would let him go for that. Someone out there is a VERY LUCKY person to catch Toni in a very generous mood and should be so appreciative! Oh my! I still can't get over it.

I think it was a good sale overall - good horses brought good money given the economy. Perhaps the economy is slightly turning around - I sure hope so.

Someone in the chat room asked attendance and the response was 40 or 50 people in person at the sale.

Toni puts on a fabulous event - first class all the way - lots of effort goes into the decorations and presentation - and the food is always generous. We attended all three days last year but just couldn't get away this time.

I commend Toni for such a wonderful production given her family situation - she's a very strong woman - one we should all look up to.

I just went and saw that the bucksin pinto son of Buckeroo, Buckeroo Dream was a no sale. I wanted to buy him a little over a year ago but couldn't afford him as he was going for $20-25 grand, not sure exactly now, just too pricey for me... but he is so darn gorgeous, if I win the lottery, he's mine! I wonder what his bids went up to?

No-Saled at 6,500
