Remember the 'should we rent" thread?

After reading all of your great advice and doing some hard thinking, we did decide not to rent. However...on Thursday, we are going to look at a property to BUY!!! It happens to be in our limited price range, the payments are only $270/month more than we are currently paying for board and if you factor in the gas we go through going out to see Shake everyday, it's a wash!!!!! I had to share, I am just sooooooooo excited!! I'll update this after we get a look at it on Thursday!

That sounds great! Good luck. I know how you feel. We board our horses too and although I know they are taken care of in excellent fashion and our trainer does a fantastic job with them, she loves them and they love her, I miss seeing them all the time and being able to spend more time with them. I hope this place turns out to be what you are looking for.

Well, this one wasn't meant to be. Oh well, at least we are now looking! It gives us time to get a few things done in the house we are now in to improve it's resale value and get it on the market while we look. Thanks for the support. I'll keep you updated on how things go.

Congrats! Now is a great time to buy there are many wonderful deals to be had.

You will find the right one I know when I pulled in the driveway of this house I knew it was the one. It is not a castle by any means in fact a pretty small house BUT... had fencing- 3 foaling stalls, run in sheds- an arena,washrack, a pasture and large hay barn and dry lot pens..All I needed to do was bring my barn and we were good to go with a full horse set up it was amazing to find the "just right place" for my family and my horses.

It can be exhausting to search but nothing beats finding that right one for you! Have fun looking just remember all those not meant to be ones.. just make that one to be one that much more special!
