Here in the UK they have been showing 9/11 films and docu progrmmes now for several days.

We in the UK will never forget what so many people suffered that day.

I'll never forget either. We were talking about it this morning, reliving that day back in 2001.

It was such a beautiful day here & my morning went by in oblivious happiness--working outside we didn't have radio or TV on--and I could NEVER have imagined that such a thing was happening. It was noon that day before I heard about it--only because I drove down to get the mail & happened to have the truck radio on.

So many people suffered so much that day & truly life has never been quite the same since then. So much has changed as a result of that day.

I won't ever forget, either. A woman at my company was killed in the plane that crashed into the Pentagon. She was one of the first people I worked for there and was such a wonderful person. She was in Washington, D.C. on business and finished early so she wanted to get on an earlier flight to get back to her family as soon as she could. She flew standby on the plane that crashed. It was such a shock and a tragedy. Rest in peace, Dora.

I remember coming up from the barn and seeing the second tower go down. It took time to register that was actually happening. I just stared at the tv.

The first thing I think of each year is all the people who were lost that day.
