A friend told me that rice bran oil would really help give my gelding that extra he needs to be competitive in the show ring. Does anyone else use this? Has it worked for anyone? I'd love to hear opnions! Thanks!
Hi,Your trainer is more than likely speaking of Body Builder. Which is the purest form of Rice Bran Oil. It turns "chubby" into lean muscle and turns lanky into show quality. Rice bran oil should not have to be worked off. Although doseage is very important. The liquid is much better because it can be syringed into your gelding's mouth and you are sure of what he is taking in. The liquid is also easily absorbed and metabolized. There are I'm sure others with opinions but it is a product that I will never be without. It is the reason that several of my mares are able to settle and carry a foal. (which is the reason I purchased it the very first time) It makes my stallion more focused on his "job". With it, my weanlings and yearlings completely skip that lanky hay belly stage of life.Missy

I don't think this is what you meant, is it?
The rice bran oil I have, its for horses, says 1 ounce for 1000# horse. [i used a syringe that shows ounce and ml, 1 ounce is about 33 ml; so for the minis I use 11 ml.] My horses don't like it this particular kind, but the stallion ate the Body Builder just fine last year; I mix it with the beet pulp, but he still isn't too thrilled.I'd be interested in what dosage you use?I buy mine from the supermarket- my Walmart has it, it is relatively expensive but it is a good grade oil.
It is good for people, too, use it in your salad dressings!!
