We feed round bales. All our bales are stored inside a big morton building, then attached to that morton is another building, that building has a overhang type of cattle shed. We can pick up a round bale with skid loader and drive right into the other building, sit it down and then the horses can come under the overhang shed and have a "fence line" feeder... The bale is inside and we just use a pitchfork and pitch the amount of hay for them. All this is out of the elements.. We have absolutely no waste with our round bales.
