ok fair warning, have patience... these are the BIG loves of my life (in no particular order)
these are my two youngest saying farewell to our first horse, Applejack. due to his age and conditino we had make that very hard decision... we still miss him. he was an awesome horse and taught all three of us to ride...
my "secret" paint, Tophand's Truly Lunar aka Luna (named for the crescent moon on her forehead) born April 9, 2005
Katie our Spotted Saddlbred, this is in the lake bottom at Mormon Lake outside Flagstaff AZ summer 2005
our mule Annabelle aka Annie
this may be my "new" horse... Christopher's Charcoal. she is half sister (same sire) to Justice and Luna
me and the best horse in the world, Merit's Top Hand aka Paint Mare (i know, i know, but she was owned by a GUY for the first 15 years of her life and THAT's what he called her...) doing the Anthem at Mormon Lake summer 2005; she will do just about anything i ask her (but we did find that she does NOT like to pull a cart!) unfortunately because she was worked so hard roping as a young horse she is now suffering from arthritis and at only 21 has had to retire from riding
she's so easy, like taking a trail ride in your favorite chair... and ANYONE can ride her and be safe up there. it's so sad that she has gone lame...
Luna all dressed up, helping us do the anthem
: (3 months old)
my blue-eyed pony Skeye (also at Mormon Lake) - since that day she has been ridden under saddle quite a bit and is doing well. nice to have a "spare" for the kids (I'm too big
)
Paint Mare with Justice April 2003 (he died of an undiagnosed illness after a month of tests and treatment December 27, 2005) - he truly was "my boy"
: i did get to ride him 4 times before he got sick, but of course i thought i had another 20+ years with him easy, and never got any pictures on him
he was very good to ride though and would have made a wonderful trail horse...
Paint Mare with Luna April 2005
Paint Mare (pregnant with Justice) - he had that same triangle in the same spot
:
her forelock makes her star into a heart
:
we do a LOT of trail riding, both around our home and with our club all over the state. we used to do a lot of gymkhana but haven't recently. we also enjoy team penning sometimes, and parades, and were on a drill team for almost two years. after seeing Cavalia we had visions of doing all kinds of cool things with our horses... :bgrin but there is never enough time
:
ok it's me again, i finally finished and it said i had too many pictures so i had to take some out... so HERE THEY ARE
Katie and Annie (behind her) and the red rocks of Sedona, AZ
my "grandhorses" (the ones that belong to my kids)
T-Bar-S Gunsmoke and Andria (also Mormon Lake 2005)
DW Thorn and Lindsey (gymkhana Mormon Lake 2005)
and the youngest is Destiny, the PMU fily Hilary adopted at 5 months old. now almost 3 she is doing great and will be a fantastic trail horse...
Luna and Destiny playing in the small turnout
OK now i am FINALLY done - thanks for letting me share :bgrin
