Well, after waiting all weekend on pins and needles ...i finially brought home my Shih Tzu pup this morning. Oh i am sooo excited about her, she is exactly what i was wanting and i could not be any happier with the breeders.

She is 10 weeks old, i posted pics of my sisters two shih tzu pups she brought home saturday and after falling in love with the boys, i had to have the last girl left. Finially got ahold of the breeders and told them to hold her, i would be there this morning! Well, she's here!!!!!!!!!!

She is an AKC 10 week old Shih Tzu female puppy. She was the runt of the litter (see first pic of her with her brother). She is going to be my 'horse show doggie' next year hopefully. We have a vet appointment friday morning and then im getting her on a grooming runtine with a local groomer when i find one i like, going to go out tommarow to find one.

She is really adjusting well, considering in the past 10 hours she has switched home, been in the car for 5 hours, i think its been a long day for her

:. But the breeders gave us this stuff called Nutri-cal to help her settle in. I feel so good knowing every tidbit of her health records ext, its hard to find responsible breeders around here locally so it was well worth the 10 hour round trip.

Oh yes, so far so good as she has not yet pee'd or poo'd in the house. I got her crate all set up last night, i am working on crate training her.

She is all work and no play, really is a miss priss. She just wants to sit and say 'look at how pretty i am, love me' lol. She is a very girlie little pup. Even though she is 1/2 the size of her two brothers, when my sister brings them over to 'visit', little Sashey can give them a run for their money lol.

I bought her a wardrobe as well, Marty ..she is going to look like Amy soon! I got her a little pink collar with hearts on it and a black/pink leash, got her a cozy little bed, shampoo's, ribbons ...i never knew puppys were this much fun! When she outgrows this collar, there is a 'bling bling' collar at Wal-mart with diamonds on it calling her name.

I took her up to the corner store drive through just now and everyone had to come out and see her. Gosh, i love this little lady!

Oh yeah, Her name is Sashey (GC Sashey Delux, pending)

She is adorable!

A word of warning about the groomers: Be sure to pick one that does NOT use heated cage dryers. Don't just take their word that they don't have them, have them give you a tour of the place and see for yourself. Shihs should be dried by hand, not left in a cage with air blowing on them while unattended.

Nicole I agree about the cage drying! I really don't like it on any dog as I have seen too many burned.

Not only have they burned dogs, they have also killed many. My warning really should have included ALL breeds. As a professional groomer, I use table, blow and high velocity dryers under supervision only.

Leeana, she's absolutly adorable!!! But I think all Shih Tzu babies are. No doubt in my mind that you'll love her forever.
