I posted a few days ago about my new mare, black pinto. Well, we picked her up today, so she's home. :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033: I put her in her stall with hay and water and left her to settle in a little bit. Time to go feed and check everyone.

She was such a good girl and just hopped on the trailer for me, although, she did want to follow me right out the side escape door. I fed her dinner and she was a little apprehensive, but came right up with a little encouragement to get her supper, so I gave her a couple good scritches and left her to eat in peace.

I don't know how many wooly bear pictures I'll be taking, so here's the summer picture the seller gave me:

I need to come up with a barn name for her, but I just don't know what. Her registered name is "Sundaze's Tuesday". A friend suggested "Daysy", I'm not sure; although I had too thought of Daisy. I also thought of Sunny, but that sounds like a boys name or maybe for a palomino. Once, I got her home today, the name "Honey" crossed my mind, but I'm not sure about that either. Usually their barn name is some part of their registered name or a derivation, but I'm stuck on this one.

She's very pretty! She looks true black, is she?

I like Daysy - cute and a fun way to spell it that plays off her registered name.

I think she is, but I'm not sure. Now that she's in winter coat, she has some reddish hairs across her ribs and a few other areas, so...

Thank you for the compliment. I like her too.

:aktion033: Congrats!

She sure looks like a honey! OR maybe Suzy to use part of the registered name?

Glad to hear you got her home Chanda and you two will be friends in no time!!

What a near Christmas/New Year's present.

Oh--how pretty she is.

: I looked at her picture and Suzy came to me. Of course I call most of mine Sweetie Pea--so I may not be the best person to listen to on names.

Congrats on her being in your barn.

I already have two people friends named Suzi, so definitely don't need to add another to the confusion.

Thank you for the compliments.

She seems to be settling in nicely, she's been calling to the other horses a little but seems to be doing fine. [she's in my "quaranteen stall" for now, while she settles in and gets used to the routine. Also, gives me time to figure out how I'm going to integrate her into the herd (my husband has heifers in the pen I usually use).]
