Shh... Don't tell the horses

Santa has been in the kitchen all day baking special goodies to fill the horses' stockings with.

First Santa made Horse Crispies. They are made with sweet feed, molasses, flax seed, carrots, apple sauce, and brown sugar. They turned out like this. Can you believe Santa has the same countertops as we do?!!

Then Santa made Meadow Muffins containing sweetfeed, bran cereal, molasses, karo, apples, carrots, apple sauce, flour And the list goes on!

The monkeys will be also treated to a special apple cinnamon soup tonight, and a winter salad tomorrow to celebrate the holiday! Santa has asked me to distract the horses with their dinners while he stuffs their little stockings!

Hehe, like Jamie said my horses are my "monkeys". They are always jumping around like little apes. I made a total of 71 muffins and 36 horse crispies to split between the four. Whoops, that recipe was huge.

Good News: They love their muffins and cookies!

Bad News: They HATED their apple cinnamon soup. I had to scoop it out for them because they wouldn't touch their feed if it touched the oatmeal.
