Unless you are willing to spend lots of $$$$ you need to buy a halter that will work for several of your horses if possible. Black, Black with burgundy band, Black with gold and Black with silver are some basic colors.

Kathy Waxler of www.starlakefarm.com owns a tack shop and is great with matching horses to a particulat halter. Her phone# is 877-782-7525

Good luck at your show.

Just wanted to add some things to the list. I plan on buying halters from Quick silver on ebay, i had several of hers but, they got stolen.

Black weanling filly

Grey (black now) weanling Colt

the two above horses will wear same size halter (xs)

Sorrel pinto weanling filly

silver dapple pinto weanling colt

Light palomino pinto stallion

these 3 can wear same size also (s)

Sorrel pintalossa gelding

Silver Dapple filly

same here these 2 can wear the same halter (L)

solid Black mare with white star

i have a halter for her i believe

black pinto filly and gelding(M to L havent measured them yet)

solid Bay roan mare with white star

Black pinto mare (blue eye)

these two will wear the same halter also (M)

solid Bay gelding

I'm sorry, it's hard to say what would look good on them without seeing the horses in question. In general sorrels and other red-based horses look good with gold appointments and silver dapples, grays, and black-based horses look stunning in silver. I agree on buying a couple of basic halters in neutral colors that would work for everybody.

I was going to suggest a black patent Victor with the silver bars on the noseband, because I can say from experience that such a halter is very versatile and looks great on a great variety of horses and colors. some I've thought would look best in the same halter in gold actually turned out to look even better in the silver.

But, if you're planning on the Qucksilver halters, I can't make any suggestions.
