Just wondering how common it is to find TINY (under 30") and APPALOOSA in the same sentance...lol!

If you have a tiny appy, i'd love to see!

My only appy is about as big as she is LOUD! But, I am happy to have all 37" or so of her

: She's a future driving horse so I wouldn't have been able to give her a second glance if she were tiny.

You are so funny lol I ask for under 30" and you post your (GORGEOUS) B appy mare lol!! I do just love her though, she is very pretty!

I was just curious since I am now going to base my future program on under 30" mini's, but i still have a deep love for appies...so I was looking to see if anyone has bred any TINY appy mini's!

Tony, I know you have some!!!

Oh, I'm sure there are some tiny appy minis out there

I just haven't shown off my Klassy girl enough!

And, her height is precisely why she may not become a broodmare in my program. Overall, I like her build and she's nicely made (my opinion), but she is by far bigger than any other mini I own.

Though, who knows, with my stallion, DunIT, being a Yellow Diamond Little Feather grandson, they maybe will have to spend some QT together at some later date.

Here is my tiny guy Six Gems Dreaming In Color. He is sired by Six Gems Color Me Spotted (a few spot) and out of the mare Six Gems Dream Catcher- a black roan that I now own.

He is a true grulla with eyes the color of his hair!! He will mature at 30". Pic was taken last weekend at a fun show- his first time out and he is about 25.5".

You cant see in the pic, but he has white hairs coming in ALL over his body, so he will color out and he was born with all the appy characteristics. He is rather chubby right now, but he is really refined, as is his dam and sire.

I forgot about two yearlings that we will probably be showing next season if they don't sell before then.

Both will mature under 30" I am pretty sure.

Well, I don't have any Tiny appaloosas anymore, but after raising Large AND small appaloosas all my life, I have to say that I have always felt that Little America, (Tony) has some of the best SMALL appaloosas in the miniature industry today! :aktion033:

And, Laurie... that tiny guy you have there is fantastic!! Of course, I am a LITTLE prejudiced as his sire came from the horses that I raised..lol! But, nonetheless, he IS a super individual! I am looking forward to Felicia Wimmers colt that she bought from you coming to my barn the first of the year. We are going to have ALOT of fun with that boy!!!

Thanks Suzy- I am VERY excited too that you will be taking Lance for the show season. I can hardly wait!! I hope he does you proud! Felicia said she will miss him terribly as he is now her buddy, LOL.

Hahaha, yes this little Smokey colt is from your previous horses! He is so tiny and just a cutie. Alas, I dont need another stallion so he is offered for sale. His eyes are the most unusual color- the color of his clipped hair but with a tiny blue cast to them.. very interesting!

I was going to say, those two words usually, for me, as far as Miniature Horses, occur in the same sentence as Tony Greaves/Little America.

:D

I have only one tiny appaloosa mini, and I don't have any recent pictures of her either (she looks like a tiny fuzz ball right now, lol). Here are a couple of picsof her when she was first born:

She has white hooves with black stripes, and now has white hairs coming in all over her body. I can't wait to clip her in the spring to see how she is coloring out. She is out of Mountain Highs AMayZing and by Mountain Highs Shoot the Moon.

I'm thinking of putting her up for sale next year, because I'm sure she won't be over 30", and that is going to be too small for my program, sigh....

I can't wait to see Lance on the show circuit next year! Felicia was so lucky to get him! :aktion033:

Tony, I just have to say how much I have always loved Silver Keepsake, he is just GORGEOUS! Some day when I have $$$ i'll be hunting you up for a nice tiny appy, I have always loved your tiny program and just adore your little appies! Let me know if Keepsake ever happens to be on sale...LOL!

Hi Steffanie,

My little Double BB Hot N Spicy is 29.5" or less. :)

Here is my little stud Dillard's HHH Chippewa Chief............he is 27 1/2 inches tall. Here he is with my son Ethan.

His tail was so long at the time I had to tie it up in a knot so he would not step on it before we went into the show ring........

There is a story behind me getting him. When I first got one of my mini's I fell in love with this little leopard appy filly but could not afford her. Well over the years I watched her and then she was sold. Then I bought this stud and low and behold his mama was the same filly, Dillards HHH Pennies From Heaven........

Susan- where are Star Bright & Sun Spot?? They are both pretty tiny appy mares.

My snowcapy appy stallion, Bingo, is 30" or 30.5" depending on the day you measure him.

Susan, i've never seen him before! Where has he been hiding on your website eh???

I remember Chippewa =) Remember we e-mailed a couple times regarding him! I never heard your story before, that is just awesome!! Congratulations!

Kim, you know I drool over snowcaps and few spots!

: all these tinies with spots!!!

:aktion033: Hi all, I love those appys!!! Good to see all the pictures. I just adore my spots and have a leopard appy stallion , 31.5" at 4 years. I have to add a picture of my newest filly born yesterday at 4 a.m. Her dad is the leopard appy stallion and her mum is a silver dapple appy. This foal needed assitance to get out but is fine now, and is running out in the sunshine. i expect her to mature around the 30" mark. Those of you who saw my pintalossa colt pictures, this is her half sister. Spots anyone? I have named her "Serenity Parks Wish Upon a Star." Yes, she does have a big star, and a small white blip on one nostril.
