Hello everyone, not to be the first to share the news, but thought I'd just post this!! Goodness for my first "offical" miniature horse show I couldn't have asked for a better one to step out in. Although it was not the biggest turnout that it could have been, it was an AWSOME show. First and formost I would like to say a BIG BIG thanks to everyone that helped me, I learned so much!! I can't remember all the names, so if I miss someone just let me know!! There were the Fraziers from BlueBlazes that helped me ALOT with my PAIN IN THE REAR colt Hawk, along with the others, such as Gail from Silver Meadows(I think I got the name right) also met alot of the forum members like Justine,Parmela, and Little Bit of Heaven Minis....ect ect, I just can't remember everyone, goodness I hate that!!! Anyways though, THANKS EVERYONE!!!

And Parmela was the sweetest person to let me walk Mr. Corona around, I am just in love with that little guy

: and her filly Sera racked em' up just like I though, too bad I guessed wrong on Corona!!! Shoot, but he didn't do bad for himself, placed high in every class!!! He is STILL MY FAVE horse of anyones thus far

: .

Also, I was proud to walk away with a hanger full of ribbons, and not one of my horses broke thier show halters, esp. Hawk, I was praying the whole time for him to stay under control, and if he doesn't learn HE is fixing to get an opperation very soon!!!

: Oh and I can't forget my new gelding Cochise, I am SO THRILLED over him, I can't wait to start driving him next year, and to start showing, he is soo awsome, and I can't believe he is so willing to learn!! I was truely blessed.

Once again I thank EVERYONE that helped so much, and for putting a very nice show on, I was blessed for God to send such nice people to this show for my first real show.

And last, but most definately not least, I can't forget Dixi, she did an awsome job of keeping the show running. oh and the tack places, esp. Double T tack!

NEXT SHOW WATCH OUT if there is a golf cart,LOL :new_shocked:

HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN-SARAH

Congratulations on your ribbons and on having such a good time with your horses and meeting people!

When I first started going to shows, the thing I was most nervous about was meeting "everyone" in person -- and of course that actually turned out to be one of the most fun parts about going to a show!!!

OMGOsh! It was so much fun!! Dixi puts on one heck of a show!! I mean seriously, I haven't been to a ton of shows but I've been to Regionals, Nationals and some of the larger local shows, but Dixi puts on a show! The ring was fixed up beautifully - it was a great place to show and have pictures taken. The stalls were nice in the barn (even though there was no hot water for bathing horses!! (Just had to give you a hard time Dixi!) and the ribbons were beautiful and they had free ice cold bottled water and snacks for the exhibitors (and horses! LOL I let Sera have one of the apples!

: )

And I met so many nice people :saludando: I know I won't keep everyone's name straight but I met Sarah, Tam, minihorsefriend, jitterbug, the trainers from Four Pines, Silver Lake, and two nice guys whose names I didn't get but they sure were showing beatiful horses!

Poor Corona just didn't have a very good show  . His first class was Model Stallion and he took all 3 1st so I'm thinking we're off to a good start. Well, it was down hill from there! He's decided that since it's springtime, his only priority is looking at the pretty girls. :new_shocked: I've NEVER had him behave like he did this past weekend. We've obviously got some work to do! But he did have quite a fan club - I had 3 different people that I didn't know at all come up to me and say "is that Corona?" It was very nice of everyone.

But my little yearling mare Sera totally cleaned up! :aktion033: It ain't braggin' if it's the truth, right? :bgrin I won't bore you with all the First Place details, but we ended the weekend with 9 neck sashes for Sera including multiple Reserve Grands and TWO SUPREME Amateur Halter wins!!! It was a lot of fun!

And special thanks to Sarah for being willing to handle Corona (not that she had a choice :bgrin ) when I wasn't feeling well right before his Sr Championship class, I handed her the lead and my back number and headed off toward the restroom!! :new_shocked: I have to admit that she looked relieved when I came back (after running my head under water!) and said I could handle him! She was a great sport!

All I can say is that if you get a chance to go to one of Dixi's shows, do it!

I met some really great folks and EVERYONE was so nice. My sr gelding was having some dehydration issues and Randy Hart came over and checked him out for me ... Then Gayle Ray gets the cutest little vet tech to come over and make sure he was doing ok and to see if there anything I needed .

It's the little things like that , that make the biggest impression. So if you read this Randy and Gayle THANK YOU !!!

All and all my boys had a good show . My sr gelding did really well in hunter and jumper and I've never had so many blue ribbons on my stall door.

The photographer was awesome and the ring pictures were the best I've ever seen .... I just had to order some and I never order pictures.

Thanks Justine for hauling me over the mountain and congrats on your GORGEOUS :new_shocked: new STALLION

..... that boy is easy on the eyes.

Thanks everyone that was there and for making it a wonderful and fun show.

Edited cuz of a brain fart

: And I will totally agree that there was a TON of good people there!!! So proud to meet everyone!!

Sarah, we really enjoyed meeting you and your mom. You little man Hawk is a very nice colt.

As soon as he figures out you are not just the treat carrier he will develope the respect he needs

for you to show him again. You were doing great with him. It was a very nice show and we met a lot

of folks we have never met before. Trish I am sorry that Mani got dehydrated. He is such a sweetie . I knew

he would make you proud jumping.

Dixie did put on a nice show!!! Jim I think showed everyone elses horses. He had a ball. Maybe next time we

will bring our own. We came to rest and socialize and ended up playing with everyone elses toys. Great time Great show and great people. :aktion033: :aktion033: Hope to see everyone again soon. And Sarah let us here from you often on your progress. mary and Jim from Blue Blazes

I have to say I have never worked so hard on my birthday as I did Saturday at Shelbyville. Poor Larry Lovell was right there with me loading two trucks with the standards, poles and jumps for the hunter & jumper classes.

Now that the cat is out of the bag ..... I bought a gorgeous 2 yr. old black pinto stallion, Michigan's Do Gooder, from Gayle Ray as my 54th birthday present. LOL

Thanks Blue Blazes for the birthday cake and balloon tied to my truck mirror !!!

Frank McCartha, I'll see you in Fletcher - he announced it was my birthday when I was trying to set up the first hunter course in the arena.

Robby McCartha kept me in stitches when I thought I would pass out from the heat and humidity.

Dixi was cool and calm as usual. I should have known there was a reason she stayed in the show office.

Sarah did a fantastic job and everybody was so nice giving her pointers. I even saw Gayle run to her mat and grab some gel for Sarah's filly's mane just before she went in her class.

Jim Frazier ending up having a very rigorous schedule for someone who left his horses at home.

I got to hold some beautiful halter horses for Randy and Vicky Hart and I was on Cloud Nine.

Randy helped us out with Trish's horse and hooking up and loading my trailer.

The turn out may not have been huge but I have never been to a sanctioned show where so many people pitched in to help someone else.

The members of the Tennessee club should be very proud of the show they put on.

I am sure Trish and I will be heading back to Tennessee next year........

Justine

Well I didn't bring horses this year ( I was selling my Corgi pups) but had a great time anyway. I had the perfect seat; was able to see all the horses in the warm up area. Some very beautiful horses. Did do some buying from vendors and tried to win at the silent auction. Even bought tickets to win the horses. Had no luck all around; didn't even sell a pup. I did have a ball with some kids that helped me with the pups when I changed papers in the cage. My son met and played with some great kids. Hope the ones that showed did well.

I am sure Trish and I will be heading back to Tn next year
Yep
