What are the rules regarding testicle checking?

Id like to show my stud but he's 'lopsided' due to dropping late. Even then he'll suck that little guy uo during moments of stress.

He is also very poor about having his man bits touched. Is this behaviour taken into consideration? We'd like to start at local fairs etc but dont want to take him if this will be an issue...we will continuevto work on it at home....

In AMHR I have had judges check only visually--so I have no idea if they ever actually FEEL or not. Mine was a yearling that the judge looked under--both were visible so no problem ( I

Know, rules say 3 and older can be penalized if both are not descended--mdoesnt stop a judge from looking I guess.).

Personally I wouldn't show a three year old or older stallion unless he had both down and obvious, but that's just me I suppose.

AMHA requires 3 and over to be checked and a form filled out that both are down. I do not think the judges check as stallions must have that form to show.

Thanks. If you get on your hands and knees then you can see them both just one smaller. If you reach up in there he sucks that little one up that you have to give him a good feel.

We will be doing local fairs as the recognized shows are quite far for now

They just need to know that both of them are there. AMHA, a form is signed by your vet saying the horse has both. A copy of that form gets submitted with any future show entries.
