I guess somethings will never change. I never did require anything expensive and fancy to make my world complete. Not knocking the good stuff though, but I've found that there are plenty of little things that can bring a smile to my face that costs under a dollar!

But you have to promise me before I share you won't laugh first.

If you agree not to make fun of me continue reading:

I've been procrastinating for years that I was going to grow my own pumpkins for Halloween and never got around to it. Actually I know full well that anything I attmpt to grown croaks so I didn't really get serious about it. This spring I finally decided I was going to have to at least give it a try. We tilled up a little place for my very own first official pumpkin patch.... but then the Hus took over and decided HE was going to do the planting and be the boss of it! I got so mad because I wanted this to be my project alone. But he thought he knew everything being a Kentucky farmer so I let him go ahead and do his thing while I grumbled and stood there not doing anything but watching him plant. After a few weeks I noticed there was not one sprout in "HIS" pumpkin patch which of course I had to throw up in his face. He told me the seeds must have been too old.

That's when I decided to go and give it a try with the exact same seeds left over in the little packet. Well low and behold!

Good for you, and a great story! And personally, if it were me, *I'd* throw it up in his face too!

(It's always good to show those guys up once in a while, isn't it)?

Yay for you! I just bought my first tomato plants. Going to plant them tomorrow. Hoping that something comes of it! I love your pumpkin plants, and can't wait to see the result this fall!

Hooray for you! Pumpkins are fun to grow. Every fall in my classroom when we carve pumpkins the kids make seed packets and I wash the seeds and each child takes some home to save until spring. I take some home, too, and plant them so we have more pumpkins next year! So neat to watch them grow. My husband hates when I plant them in "his" garden because they do take up a lot of space! And I tend to get carried away with how many pumpkins I actually need!
