I have started to come on and then know I shouldn't say what I want to say.

But why is it the animals that always have to pay.

Thanks just needed to vent........

Bon

Yes Bonnie, I know exactly what you mean

You are so right Bonnie!! I really wanted too......what is wrong with some people???

Pam

Thank you for letting me know I am not alone...........

Love you all

Bon

Bonnie

You are right, but what I am noticing a lot is so many people are hard headed, that even though we know it is our duty to educate, we are almost afraid to because of how so many people reactive, to CONSTRUCTIVE, and sometimes HELPFUL criticism.

Completely agree with you Bonnie. I am trying very hard to just bite my tongue, especially after I read some posts which I know are so out of line and people just looking for attention. If only others knew. Corinne

I know what you mean. However I really try hard not to be judgemental, lest I be judged, and I was being that AND I NEED TO REMEMBER that us old veterans of the mini world need to keep helping the newbies so fewer animals have to suffer for any reason.

No person sets out to hurt their animals and I know that but sometimes I react with my heart instead of my brain and that is no good.

We i think are getting much better at being kinder with our answers and as someone says sometimes it goes right over the heads or seems to fall on deaf ears. Then we get frustrated.

I learn something new on here all the time after 23 years in minis and a lifetime in horses.

And I also am learning to sit on my hands!!!!!

THANK GOD FOR THIS BOARD!

Bon

Well I was wondering what this thread was about - I sit on my hands too - but this thread gives new meaning to what I have been doing for a long time!

I had some pretty strong opinions that I just bit my tongue on. Them term preaching to the choir kind of hit the nail on the head. Hard to bite your own tongue isn`t it.

Yes it was pretty hard to swallow and I wanted to SCREAM OUTLOUD for the pain of the little guy..........MY GOD the pain.......

but gee whiz folks, you gotta realize that some people don't know any better at all and have no one to learn from and then they find this forum.

What is going to happen now if she has been run off of here where there was help?

Who's she going to turn to now?

"Who's she going to turn to now?" -Marty

She can turn to books, magazines and/or local horse clubs, owners, trainers, breeders, even other Internet horse forums. Doing an Internet search will pull up more information than she probably cares to read on proper horse care. It's not as though the information isn't out there.

I usually try and sit on my hands, but with some topics I just need to yell at the idiots. Answering Marty's question about the girl with the halter, like EnvyPoodles said, she can turn to other sources. An internet search is a wonderful source of information. That is what I turn to first when I have a question, I don't run to an internet forum, that is my last place I go if the internet search turns out fruitless. Not to mention she wouldn't have to deal with the "stress" of getting flamed if she did an internet search for her questions.

Gotcha .... I wasn't on line for several hours and just figured out what people are talking about.

<sigh> I physically chose NOT to post on a particular thread because I was afraid of how it would come out.

I think it's called "restraint"???

MA

Good for you Miniv :bgrin Restraint is something I have very little of, as you can tell if you've read the recent "hot" post.

There are SO many times, I do the same thing. It's really hard when you see some of the posts to NOT say anything but you know that someone is going to take your response the wrong way or as a personal attack.

Marty's right in more then one way, but I guess I still can't go above the heart reaction yet... That poor horse!

Kudos to those of you that can, I just had to say Something, I feel all the sad eyes from past rescued horses start staring at me when I don't...

I agree 100% with Whitney (spotted pony girl). Animals do not have a voice, but people DO. This young lady's horse suffered in silence just as many others continue to suffer elsewhere every day.
