I live in Michigan today my grandson and I took a walk in the woods. As we were walking I looked down and there was a snake, I have never seen a snake this time of year here in Michigan. Our weather has been crazy this year has been in the high 40's and lots of rain. The poor snake does not know it is still winter. Alice

I think all of nature is somewhat confused by the weather. WE took a picture of a blossomed pansy in my flower tub last Wed. We do NOT have blossomed flowers outside in Maine in January. I know pansies are pretty hardy but this is ridiculous. I fear for the future of my perrenials as am sure with the mild weather they had started to wake up and now today its back in the low 20's. I hope I dont lose them.

I just moved so I'm sure I'll have a lot of surprises with flowers and plants. But I noticed yesterday that a lot of the perennials are coming up, and the trees have been trying to bud out for weeks now. Crazy weather here in the midwest.
