LOL! Now that the grand daughters are teens, Christmas Day itself is pretty quiet for us actually...just my husband, myself, and sometimes a neighbor or two for dinner...then we visit my step-Son and his family for a few hours.

Boxing Day is the "big day" for my side of the family, as we ALL end up at my Mom and Dads for a big pot-luck...yack our heads off and laugh with each other over stories well-told. it is, without a doubt the very best time of year.

Hubby and I have to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but after work my Hubby and I will go to our camp and celebrate Christmas there...all of our family is out of state so it's just us. We have alot of friends over at camp so we will be spending time with them. We have not been able to spend the holidays with our families in many years because of our work schedule. Next year however Christmas falls on a Tuesday, which is our day off...so hopefully next year we can spend it with our families, my parents may not be alive next year though, I can only hope and pray.

Well after the 16th I will be on Christmas break from college so will be at the farm with my grandparents and the horses. Always love Christmas break-i take a trip to Barnes and Noble and read read read for those few weeks off. On Christmas eve my family gathers at the farm and we eat, of course. My grandmother always cooks for about 3 days straight. Don't know how she does it. Oh oh, almost forgot about the wine! There is lots of that too!

We actually open presents on Christmas eve and then Santa's presents in the morning (i have younger siblings). I'm sure my grandma is already working on the decorations. She decorates the whole house and tree in a deep purple and white. It's beautiful.

We dropped into a travel agency today to see what it would cost to go to Australia sometime.. boy have to save up

might not be anytime soon. but sure is one of my dream vac-cation.

All my children are grown up and have extended families, they wanted to come home for Christmas. Hard to find the right day...

If all shows up and snow storms hold off will be doing our Family day Saturday, Dec. 17th. and should be approx 18 of us.

Not doing Turkey this year, being they all get lots of that during the holidays, so doing chicken with dressing, scallop potatoes, salads, and of course cherry cheesecake. and they all bring appetizers and what they like to drink.

Than Christmas Day we just go to my youngest daughters house only 15 minutes away to watch our grand daughter Olivia open up Santa gifts. That day I get to sit back and relax.

I will go to my mom's (where my twin brother will get really ugly drunk and yell at someone/everyone/challenge someone, then cry, then pass out...

...happens every year FUN!). Then I'll go to my second family's place, where all my friends will be, a martini will be placed in my hand, and the fun will begin

Deb and I went to Disneyworld last year, so this year will be either Busch Gardens or Seaworld! Neither of us has family here in Florida and while we have many good friends, they are busy spending the day with their families, so we made our own tradition by going to a theme park on Christmas Day! Ahh...life in Florida!!

We are spending Christmas here at the farm, my daughter and her boyfriend are coming Christmas Eve and spending Christmas Day with us and then they are leaving here Boxing Day morning to go visit his family. My son and his wife and 2 kids are coming up Boxing Day and staying over until the next day. So I will be seeing my grandchildren yeah, grandkids are the best!!

boxing day is just the day after xmas day...thats what we call it here in australia to

Christmas morning do chores first, then open presents at home(have a 2 year old and 10 month old who will be exactly 11 months old on christmas day). Then eat a small breakfast, after breakfast we go to my husbands brothers house for lunch and more gift opening. After lunch we head to my parents place for supper and more gift opening, then we head home and do chores and then relax a bit before heading to bed. Pretty busy day and lots of food.

You know, I am not sure what we will do for the Holidays.

At the rate I am going, maybe unpacking some more boxes.

Things are pretty lean this year. My mother and I live together and we really do not have anything planned. She is getting older and having some problems with mobility and memory. She is very agitated at me most of the time. I dread bringing in a tree. I haven't put lights up for a couple of years now. I am blessed to still have my mother. But, she is a challange.

WE WILL HAVE CHRISTMAS WITH OUR FURRY FAMILY. KIDS ARE GROWN WITH FAMILIES OF THEIR OWN,WILL GET TOGETHER BEFORE OR AFTER. WILL FIX PRIME RIB MASHED POTATOES/GRAVEY PEAS AND LEMON CHEESECAKE. FOR THE FURRY ONES REG. FEED AND HAY WITH ALFALFA FOR DESSERT.
