Ok, this is really hard to explain. It has been happening since last weekend. I will be makeing a eye doctor appointment monday and if that dont do anything then a normal doc appointment.

I wake up every day with a bad head ach, however its like its only my eyes. I cant look out the sides of them with out them hurting. They feel like I am always looking off/in my own world kind of thing but im not. You know how you get when you think about something deep and your kinda not here, thats what it feels like all the time.

My vision is blured/glossed over. Of coarse they are even worse at work when I have to have my safety glasses on. I get dizzy and sometimes off balance. I havent been doing my normal job lately as I can do all the turning and up and down with out needing time to re-balance myself and focus.

I did start going off my meds the last few days, not cold turkey and this started before then but not sure if it has anything to do with that or not.

Anybody have any ideas what it could be?

Sounds unnerving, Ashley. I'd skip the eye doc and go straight to the regular doc. Sounds like a problem not limited to your eyes. She/he can always refer you to an eye doc if needed.

I wouldnt wait, go to the ER or Emergency Care Clinic. Eyes arent something to mess with at all. Maybe because of going off meds, maybe not. Get thee to the Dr today!

Ashley, if your eyes hurt it could possibly be pressure building up in them causing them to hurt, like a glaucoma. I'm not saying that's what it is but my eyes hurt when I don't take my eye drops for high pressure in the right eye. Also, like someone said please don't wait around to get it checked out. I lost the sight in my right eye from letting it go too long and now I really regret it two surgeries and laser treatment later that didn't save it. I have my left and if there is ever anything that has changed with it I am at my eye doctor's as soon as possible.

My immediate thought is diabetes....possibly glaucoma.........I'd suggest a quick trip to the doc........

I know im not a diabetic that is something that is regularly checked with me.

That is exactly what happened to me when I was coming down with the flu, the real flu, not just a virus.

My eyes have hurted and felt like that and then the muscles in my calves hurt and then it just spread all over. A lot of times people think they have the flu and it is just some sort of virus because if you really have full blown flu you feel like you are dying. (I have anyway, and it has only been a couple of times in my adult life, and never since I started getting flu shots.)

Could this be what is going on? Anyway, get in to the doctor ASAP

Ashley, you really want to go to the Dr. asap. Don't wait on this one. It could be glaucoma, or it could be migraines, either way, you don't want to wait around to see what happens. It's your eyesight, don't take any chances, you don't want to mess around with your eyes. Please keep us posted, I will be thinking about you & wishing you well.

I don't know what meds you were taking, but if it was anything like Paxil or Welbutrin it might be the result of going off the meds. I suffer terribly from Seasonal Affective Disorder and have to take the above type meds in order to function in the winter. When I start them up in the fall or gradually go off of them in the spring I run in to these exact symptoms. HOWEVER, you really need to talk to your doctor about this!

Ashley,

Our neighbor had a similar issue last fall and the Dr. told him to cut out nearly all sugar. It seemed to help but not sure of the condition. He is not diabetic. See a Dr.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO SEE A DOCTOR!!!! EYES ARE NOTHING TO MESS AROUND WITH. BUT THERE IS ALSO OCCULAR MIGRAINES. I GET THEM. MY VISION GETS BLURRY IN JUST CERTAIN SPOTS AND NO SIDE VISION, DOC SAID I HAD OCCULAR MIGRAINES, GAVE ME MEDS, HELPED THE BLURRED VISION WHEN I FELT ONE COMING ON, BUT GAVE ME A FULL FLEDGED MIGRAINE, SO TOLD THEM I PREFERED THE OCCULAR MIGRAINE COMPARED TO THE PAIN OF THE REGULAR MIGRAINE.

I was at the farm the other day clipping some horses. When I got home I felt like crap so I just took a few asprin and crashed at 5 pm. I slept until 11 am the next day. My eyes feel alot better. Have not bothered me since saturday. I didnt wake up with a head ache today at all .
