stall mat question

I've used the "play" mats in stalls at a show but I tape (good ole duc tape) over the joints so they stayed together for the three days. I really hate having my guys on concrete.

At home I bought the thin light weight rolled mats and put them over a floor made of treated 2 x 4s over my concrete floor.

I use the interlocking play mats in my founder ponies stall under thick shavings. Urine goes through the joins and wets the floor a little. I remove them weekly and dry out the floor and rinse the mats. They are feather light and so are easy to manage for an older lady. I'd love to have the proper mats but know that they would be too heavy for me.
