State Line closing

We are losing a great resource - all of the State Line tack stores in Petsmart will be closing this year. Was in there today and heard from someone working there. She said they will start shutting down soon, and by Nov 1st all will be closed. Guess the powers that be decided there is more money in cats and dogs.

That is correct all State Line Stores in Petsmart are closing this year, they are still operating their website and they are looking for someone to purchase that function from them. Petsmart lost alot of money on their equine stuff and figured that they better go back to their core business which is cats and dogs. They are going to take the space that was dedicated to the State Line Tack area and expand their dog and cat line.

They have not released yet how long they are going to keep their web site up and functional but I would guess that it won't be too long as they are no longer ordering equine supplies from any or their suppliers.

Well, State Line has been around longer than Petsmart. Will you still be able to order through the mail? I know when I've compared prices I could find better ones anyhow too.

Aww shucks, I loved taking the dogs to petsmart and being able to buy cookies and such for the horses as well.

the one in our pet smart closed last year, so did the outlet downtown.

but i think you can still order off the internet, i have been able to. hope they keep that going.

We just got a brand new Petsmart late last year with a HUGE StateLine store in it. Bummer!! I was looking forward to taking a mini or two into the store - under the guise of buying some take supplies

There used to be State Line stores up here. But then everything went to catalog and internet. What I remember hearing is that it was either easier or they were getting more orders by catalog and internet. I dont remember when that was though :no:

Yes you can still order through their catalog and internet store, however as I said above they are no longer ordering stock from their manufacturers so if there is something that you really wanted from them I would purchase it soon or it could be out of stock. As of now they have not found anyone to take over the business and if they don't within a reasonable time they will close the doors totally.

I gave up on Stateline when Petsmart took over. Their prices and the quality of their products has never been great even pre-Petsmart. The thing is horses really are a different ballgame alltogether then pets and it was just too much for Petsmart to handle.

The original State Line was an absolutlely great store, its now Dover Saddlery and they are good too. Meghan there is a Stateline over in Salem, NH but you REALLY have to watch the prices things are cheaper and better at Dodge Grain which is not far from there. Linda B

I am so sad. They were a great resource to go in and pick up wormer. And when it was on sale the daily wormer was a good deal. I would stock up. I had also just started trying the Stateline Tack brand of suppliments.
