Not sure if you remember the story last year. when a lady contacted me and asked for my advice being I had

a puppy years ago with a cleft palate

Told her how to tube feed and kept him alive.

Than she found a home that was a vet that wanted to take him in and would be able to do the surgery.

Well, just turned 1 year old and his name is Cleft.

What a great feeling to know he is doing so well. He is now 40lbs and had to have 3 surgery's.

I was told his siblings weigh 50lbs. at one year old.

First picture is of his cleft palate

Picture of him in his new home, with friends and a family who are both vets.

They gave him a chance for a good life and was able to do the surgery he needed

And here is a picture of Cleft at one year old.. So glad she just did not put him down..

What a happy story. Thanks for sharing the update.

I love it!!!

AND those who help "because they can".... the breeder, you and those vets!

Beauty of a dog, also.

Like many of us here, I know that dogs are family members in the right situation. How wonderful that you were able to help make this family complete!!!

Thanks all who commented, yes it was very heart warming knowing this little and now big boy has a

chance of a loving home..

Of course she has not bred again, and not all would take the time an hours to help a puppy

in need, but in this case you are right a happy ending.

Wow, I remember the story, and can't believe its been a year, already.

I was thinking the exact thing Chanda!!

Nice to see the update Reble!
