Who has a dog that gives you away every time you try and sneak food.

Poms have a way of using their back feet kind of like kicking/wiping and every time I go into the kitchen and snack on something my Pom is right there blowing my cover with his kicking. I will try and sneak past my husband with a piece of cake and Tally is right there wiping his little feet for all to see.

Both my girls follow me in the kitchen all the time...it's always hand out time to them.

: Lakota however is a tattletale of her sister....if I'm sitting at the computer and they have been playing in the livingroom, she will not hesitate to come to me, nudge me and let me know her sissy has her toy that she wants. So I have to go and referee.

Are you kidding me? If my Toy Poodle hears anything that could even be remotely mistaken for the sound of a rapper crinkling or the fridge door opening or the microwave beeping or someone walking near kitchen... HE IS RIGHT THERE.

Well, I did...

My late Hillary didn't tattle on me so much as the dogs (she never thought of herself as one of them, LOL)

If one of them made a "mistake" in the house, Hillary would point it out to me and then look up at me like, "Well, I never!"

A good friend of mine had a Sheltie who was very territorial and protective of her family and home. One year they hosted the family Thanksgiving dinner, and my friend's father snuck into the kitchen afterward to snitch a bit of turkey. Sandy, the Sheltie, followed him in there, glaring, growling and giving him away...and to the end of her days she NEVER forgave him for stealing her family's food!

We've dubbed our Cairns "kitchen sharks." There is no way in heck I could go into the kitchen without them circling for my food, "talking" and letting the entire house know exactly where I'm at if it's at all food-related.

If I open the fridge they expect baby carrots, if not something much better.

my dog does that all the time  the only time she does not is late at night, so thats when i get away with eating all the cookies

Our 5 pound toothless wonder is real bad for anything kitchen related anytime no way can you sneak in there without him drawing excited attention to the fact. We also hardly use the kitchen so it's even more exciting for him.

LOL I have the opposite problem, my Heeler tells on himself! He has a habit of getting into the kitty food so he will then come , plop down in front of me sideways, look at me over his shoulder and smile. Cracks me up!! Then there was my Dad, deaf as can be but if you went to get something to eat you would always hear that 'whatcha gitting?'

Our Daisy Mae is our resident tattle tale AND diciplinarian! She's a whopping 9 pound rat terrier and she's on top of everything going on in the house, if one of the others has a bone she wants she goes off, if Abner is into something she's all over him, if Cleotis (bloodhound probably 90 lbs) she runs to me and then runs to him and rolls him onto the ground, she'll stand ON him with her front feet and snarl, bark and growl, he just bellies up to her and gives in :bgrin

I can't go ANYWHERE without Moxie on my tail!!!!! She'll be out like a light in my workshop, and I'll try to run upstairs really quick for a drink, bite to eat, washroom break....turn around and there she is....radar up waiting for...whatever she thinks I might give her!! lol

Haha! I got a Pom too and he is the biggest snitch around here! :new_shocked:

When ever I go to the cupboard with the peanut butter in it he knows! :new_shocked:

He continually jumps up trying to get some peanut butter.

When ever I try to open a chocolate bar wrapper real quiet the dogs here it and come a runnin'

: My hubby will call out from the living room, "Carol, are you eating chocolate again?"

I even tried to sneak one in the bathroom but the dogs let the world know that I got cookies!

YES! I thought I had the only dog that does that! I have a tiny Yorkie. Every time I try to sneak food, she starts barking at me. Only when its NOT meal time. If I bring a snack up to the bedroom at night, I sneak it under the blankets so she doesn't know. She would bark and wake up hubby!
