I am thinking of making the trip to Oktoberfest this year. We have never been to an event at Little Kings. For those who have been before- give me all the great reasons we should make the long drive!!!

I have not been to Oktoberfest, BUT have been to other events at Little Kings. It is a trip well worth making. The biggest thing is how friendly and accomodating the people are. They are WONDERFUL. Second is how beautiful their farm is. It's unbelievable to stand and look out across the different fields fenced with split rail fencing and full of beautiful little horses. And it is especially beautiful in the fall. It's like a dream. Third, you will probably get to meet Buckeroo. Not to mention the possibility of bringing home a great horse from the sale for yourself. I would encourage you to go. Sure wish I didn't already have plans for that weekend.

I have never been either yet but plan to go this year and am SO excited! I have loved Buckeroo for over 20 years!

I am going mostly to pick up a little colt I have already bought after the second Lets Make a Deal Sale :)

But I want to watch the sale also and have friends who wanted the chance to meet Buckeroo and see the sale and so we are going together and plan to have a wonderful fun trip......all 3100 miles of it!! :)

LK Farm and the Oktoberfest sale is definetly worth the trip. They have all the famous stallions in stalls all through the barn with Buckeroo in the big front stall. It is to cool to see all these horses in the flesh. Robin and family are really nice and take the time with all their visitors. Oh yeah and last year when I went they had delish grilled sausages for lunch! The auction is very good, they have all the sale horses stalled where you can see each one of them. I will be there too picking up my Buckeroo daughter and her Super Supreme colt. Can't wait, its a very nice scenic ride also.

FUN!!! We've been twice. The Eberths are fantastic folks. You will want to bring a jacket because the barns (obviously) aren't heated. If you haven't met Buckeroo, you need to go. It's better than meeting Elvis, the president, or any rock star!

Take a trailer!!! Or have room in your back seat - great prices.

The horses aren't clipped and show groomed as extensively as their summer sales were - after all it's almost winter. But they are clean and trimmed and look fantastic.

I am planning on going, but that could change between now and then. For some reason I always get sick in October and its always been during Oktoberfest @ LKF, so hopefully can make it this year....I'd be going to look at the shetlands..

This will be my first trip to the sale. I want to meet Buckaroo and the Eberths as well. I am flying to Louisville, but still want to see if I can purchase one. --------So if anyone has a trailer there and is returning through Iowa or Minnesota, I'd really like to visit with you about the possibilty of bringing one back for me. This could really help with your expenses!! Let me know, please.
