hi evrybody i am in need of help. a couple of days ago i put in an applacation for a rescue papillon. who is in texas. the only problem is they do not ship their dogs. so i need to some how get this little guy from their to new jersey. is their anybody out their who would be willing to pick him up and meet me somewhere to come and pick him up. he is need of a home. i will post his picture and bio here so you can see him. i did not get aproved yet but i need someone to help just in case i do.

(in TX)Little Widget is a 7 pound bundle of energy. He sustained a spinal injury while just a young puppy which resulted in his being unable to use his back legs. His tail is mostly gone because of the accident. But don't tell him he is handicapped! He won't believe you. He 'runs' around the house scooting with his front legs while playing with the other dogs. We have to be careful outside because he is so eager to explore his world that he will pull his rear legs over rocks and sticks and hurt himself. There was a hope that he would regain some use of his rear legs and indeed he has some feeling in them and will stand on them at times but needs training to relearn the walking process. At this point, he is adjusting to the use of a cart his foster dad built for him. Widget is a very energetic pup who has a lot of potential and a lot of love in his heart to give to just the right family.

And now a word from Widget

Hi! Widget here! I am almost too busy to stop and talk to you but I do want you to know that I am looking for just the right furever home.It can have other dogs, cats and older children. I love to eat, play, chase balls and wrestle with my foster brothers and sisters. My foster mom and dad are cool but my own family would be best. Won't someone love me?

Hope you get approved AND find a taxi ride for at least part of his ride......

(We live in Oregon or we'd help.)

PS: Something is niggling at my memory about a "Relay" transporting system for dogs and cats that was available for people in just your situation. It's been a few years since I read about it. You may try googling dog transport or something?

What a cutie he is!!!

I think there are pilots that use their planes to take rescue dogs cross country. I will ask my friend as she had a dog brought to her that way. Old age is fogging my brain or I could remember who does this.

Hey, I bet those are "Eddies wheels" that widget is wearing! Looks like the same awesome design anyway. I had a GSD that used Eddies wheels for Degenerative Myeopathy. Awesome that somebody wants to adopt that sweet little dog, hope you find some transport soon.

My GSD could run and maneuver in his wheels. Gave him freedom in and out of the house. If anybody ever needs help on a dog with a weak or paralized limb, front or back. Google Eddies wheels, they are awesome. Can really help any disabled dog have a better quality of life. They can even run on the beach. cool best wishes.

He's so cute, looks a lot like my daughter's Papillon. Hope you are able to get him transported.
