My Dad was just moved out of Intensive Care. I wish he could have stayed there a while longer, I think he was rushed a bit. He is now in Telemetry, a kind of step down from ICU but not a regular floor.

His bleeding is under control. They gave him so many units of blood!

Turns out that on colonoscopy they found that he has AVMs iside his intestines that were bleeding(he was on MEGA blood thinnners) AVM stands for Arterio-venous malformations. I saw the pictures of them that they took. They look like spider webs with a spider in the center. People get them in their brains also, and often die when they bleed. Its like the arteries grow attached to the veins, weird, huh? Elevated blood pressure and blood thinners put pressure on these malformations and he was bleeding aterial blood! It seems to have stopped for now. His congestive heart failure is not all the way better but is improved. He is a little pink instead of blue gray/waxy color. I am so thrilled!

My Dad seems to have used up 8 of his 9 lives.

I THANK YOU ALL from the BOTTOM OF MY HEART for all your prayers. They WORKED!

I LOVE YOU ALL, my forum FAMILY!
