I hate how it can take so long for something to arrive. I have been waiting two weeks already for a book to get here. Just last month, a book I ordered sat in a city (two hours away!) for three days before it was fit onto a truck and delivered to me. I don't mind waiting a little longer for cheaper shipping, but sometimes the wait is ridiculous.

On a brighter note, I just looked and found that my book for this month's read should be arriving today. I thought it was coming media mail also, but apparently when I saw CA as the sellers location, it was for Canada and not California, because they are sending it to me via DHL.

Ok, my rant's over now....(unless I don't see my book within the next couple days.)

My media mail shipped book was eaten by the USPS, I received an empty envelope more than 6 weeks after shipment. Unfortunately, it's a used book from a private party, so I'm just SOL; unless USPS comes through with dead letter retreival (my post mistess filled out the forms and sent them in, but that's all I know).

I've gotten a couple of notices lately that packages were delayed due to the weather. Booksfree uses media mail and I've been able to get things within 10 days which I consider great for media mail.

Yay! I finally got my book yesterday. It took three weeks, but at least it's here now.

Lucky you. I may never see mine, and I won't know a thing one way or the other; if they find it, it'll just show up one day.

That's too bad Chanda. I'd be really upset, especially if it is a rare or hard to find book.

Hopefully one of these days, it will show up or you'll be able to locate another one.

Not rare or hard to find, but the used price was so much better than new for this particular book (its a reference book I'll have limited use for, but still good for my library, and I wanted to read it). I just know if I go out and buy it new, the used one will show up, so i've not been a hurry to buy the new one.
