First of all we had a great time there in a gorgeous condo with green grass, Hibiscus blooming, hot tubs , beach and etc. Loved it. THEN had to drive home. It's just way to far to drive, ugh!

Got as far as Ohio following our daughter, son in law with grand son and his friend in their Dodge Ram truck. Snowing, blowing and three lanes of freeway. On far right was salt/plow truck which caught our eye with flashing lights etc and Carl mentioned wow salt must be getting slippery, semis galore, one right beside us, son in law in front of us in far left lane as we were passing the semis. On the left of us was cement wall deviding our side of freeway from oncoming side.

All of a sudden all He ** broke loose! Mark(son in law) was pinned between another giant salt/plow truck and that cement wall and we were fighting to save ourselves as we couldn't get over till finally we did and saw lots of sparks from Marks truck as it was being crunched and battered where it shouldn't and couldn't fit.SOMEHOW Mark got that big Dodge ram to speed up and drive out of there and it squirted out in front of the big plow truck and across the freeway to the other side to the far right to the rail.

It had a rail as there was a gully there. We got over there and stopped behind them and that you know what plow truck had NEVER slowed, or stopped but kept right on going and left!!! It all happened because the plow truck had the hopper down and the taillight didn't show and NO flashers going!

The other plow truck also saw it all and had already called the police, asked if we needed an ambulance and called the company to make the offending guy come back to the scene of the accident! God was with us and our family is all ok except for banged up. Thank you Lord!

We had to wait sitting there for over an hour till that plow truck got back and wonder of wonder his flasher worked fine , looked like a lit up Christmas tree! Here's the kicker! They never gave that guy any ticket for leaving the scene of an accident, hit and run, improper lighting, (going 30mpg in fast lane of freeway?) BUT gave Mark a ticket for not avoiding the accident! We were in the precess of passing the semis for God sake as was about 50 others!

The policeman who was nice by the way said they aren't aloud to ticket a State vechicle!!!! Ain't life grand! SO we're going to court just for the heck of it and my kids are driving a loner while they are getting their truck either fixed or replaced and their insurance goes up. Merry Christmas all.

Today I ordered them a huge order of Spring flowers sent to their house to try to cheer them up a little, sorry so long, it was scary. Maxine

Oh Good....***... I am just glad no one was killed!!

All of you please stay safe.

Oh my gosh... so glad you are all OK.

And that just seems wrong. In my state they sure can, and do, ticket state vehicles. In fact, if a state employee is in an accident, it's a mandatory drug/alcohol test.

AHHHH!!! I'm soooooo glad they were alright!!! The horror you must have felt watching it all and being able to do NOTHING about it and trying to save your own lives at the same time! I'm sooooooo glad everyone is ok.

Now as for the police and their response, don't even get me started. I'm NOT a fan of the police dept. OR the government. Biggest joke on earth as far as I'm concerned.

Just glad everyone is ok. Sending positive thoughts your way!!!!

That must have been just horrible to watch. Thank God everyone is okay. I would definately go to court on that one. Sounds like you need another vacation!

Oh My Gosh!!!!!!! That is soooo scary! I'm so glad no one was hurt! The angels were watching you guys thats for sure! I just hate the highway in the snow or even rain. It's a good thing they had the vehical they did! Could you imagine if it was a small car
