As of Friday Larry and I will be horseless for the first time in almost 35 years 25 with minis.

I made the decision to not have anymore animals.

I have been offered other horses but, and this surprises me as well as others. I want to not be responsible for taking care of ANYTHING!!

I find I would like a life!

Imagine being out after 5 at night....... I might even turn into a party girl

Imagine not having to wonder what the price of shavings will be? And if the hay crop will be good.

People can't believe I won't want to get more but they forget how long we have been doing this.

I have a ton of horse stuff to move on to a new home, and will be cleaning out all my show stuff and my new Jerald so will take awhile but i am actually looking forward to a new beginnning.

He do they still have movie theaters????

Just kidding, but while Friday is going to be awful I choose to put a positive outlook on a new beginning.

Hugs

Bonnie

I know if I did not have horses I would not live up here. There would be no need to have acreage.

I know if I did not have horses, I could have a brand new nice big home somewhere in a great neighborhood on a nice big avenue. I could drive a really nice car instead of a truck.

I wonder what it would be like to be able to sleep in .........all day long if I wanted to? Going a day without cleaning stalls and BO and having manure stains on my clothes....hmmmmm

No worries about hay or fences or spending all that money and never seeing a return on it. Yep that's all we do is pump the money in and then they just poop it out.

Bonnie, there comes a time I think when we all reach an age and question what the heck are we doing and when are we going to quit. This time has arrived for you. I think it will take some getting used to. And if you ever want another horse, you can always board it and leave the daily stuff to them. I'm anxious to hear how you will feel in a month or two from now. Good luck kiddo.

Sometimes it good to make a change even if only for awhile. You can always change your mind later if you want to.

I hope you have a lot of fun partying

You will have to come and tell us all about it.

Hey Bonnie......

You deserve to be able to enjoy a "free" life for a while. You can still have virtual horses through all of us. I know I'm willing to share with you!

You and Larry, after Friday (I know that's going to be a hard day), live it up a little. Go out to dinner, TRAVEL!!!!!!! You both know you are more than welcome to come back out here anytime and stay longer!!!!!!!

We'll be thinking of you on Friday.

I hope someday to be able to travel, so that day will also come for us...

Good Luck

Everyone comes to a time in their life when they need to change. You have come that crossroad. Only you and Larry know what the future holds. All of your friends are here for support.

My thoughts will be with you on Friday.

Please send thoughts too me too...I will be out facing the crowds in the stores!

Best wishes to you on your new beginning.

I can't imagine a life without anything to take care of, I'd have empty nest syndrome badly!

I hope you find something to keep you happy without having your furry love bugs, keeping you busy.

My pets are my peace and sanity in this crazy world. They rarely argue and I can pen them up and know they are safe - guess I mean I can control them easier than any of my humans.

Best of luck to you!

WOW, A NEW BEGINNING. I ALWAYS WONDER WHAT I WOULD DO WITH THE TIME AND MONEY IF I HAD THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HORSES. WE ARE NOT AT THAT POINT YET, BUT MY HEALTH KEEPS GETTING WORSE, AND OF COURSE MY HUBBYS PROBLEM, HE IS SO AFRAID THAT I AM GOING TO BE LEFT TO TAKE CARE OF ALL OF THEM BY MYSELF. RIGHT NOW, THEY ARE MY KIDS, THEY ALL HAVE THEIR OWN PERSONALITIES AND KEEP ME GOING AND I COULD NOT BARE TO PART WITH EVEN ONE OF THEM.

GOOD LUCK BONNIE, THERE WILL BE A VOID FOR AWHILE, BUT I AM SURE SOMEONE IS AVAILABLE TO HAVE YOU COME BY AND JUST HUG THEIRS AND SMELL THAT HORSIE SMELL THAT YOU WILL MISS FROM THE EMPTY NEST SYNDROME.

Congratualtions on your decision. When something that was once enjoyable becomes a burden it certainly is best to give it up. Better to realize the responsibilites of owning something is greater than the pleasure one gets from them. I waited a long time to get to the place where we could have minis and would find it extremely difficult to give them up but we are all different in how we feel about things. Enjoy your new found freedom from all the responsibilities!

Best wishes to you and Larry on your new venture, Bonnie.

And yes.....there still are movies theaters! Me and hubby go quite often. Try and hit the matinees tho...less crowded and more popcorn!!!

Dear Bonnie, I know Friday will be bittersweet but you gift him with peace and yourself with a new chapter in your book of life. Let me know what the theatres are like these days..haven't been since Disney with the kids! Prayers and light.

Welcome to the rest of your life!!! I know it will be strange & different not having any horses to be responsible for each & everyday, but here's hoping you can find new and exciting things to do with your time!!

We all have to make decisions in our life time. This one is right for you, right now. Enjoy!!

BUT -- you can't possibly be "without" animals entirely -- by that I mean, you surely are not giving up the animal communication......

default_wacko.png
.......RIGHT????
default_wub.png

default_wacko.png

God bless you Bonnie, enjoy spending some quality time with Larry and if you get out this way, come and love on any and all of my critters as much as you want

(hey you DID say you were coming to AZ around Christmas right?????)

wow you are so brave to make this decision... i sometimes get the feeling my hubby would be happy if i did the same, but that time has not yet come for me... i would be miserable. it would be nice to have all the money but geez what would i do with it :DOH! BUY MORE ANIMALS lol

Bonnie we too go back and forth about this. At our (Carl and I) advancing ages we would really like to go somewhere and not have to rush home for feed and chores..or not plan a vacation etc.

At the same time we're still finding the need to breathe in the smell of warm air off a soft nose, the aoft nicker when they greet us..etc.

Course with a grand daughter in Medical school I could certainly redirect some money other directions!

I think we're all headed where you are and we wish you well and lots of late sleep ins!

Best wishes, but hey! You will still come visit us on here won't you?

Maxine

As much as you will miss them, you will really enjoy the extra time and freedom you will have. I sold all my critters, except the dogs, about a year ago. I miss them, but I LOVE having all the extra time and being able to go places and not have to worry about them. We go to our place up north every weekend now in the summer and during the winter we make monthly trips somewhere, it is wonderful. This winter we are going on a ski trip and going to Vegas along with a few other little trips. It's nice to have the free time.

Sending you my best, for your future without the horses. I know that you have dedicated so much of your life to them, and it is good that you are now looking forward to enjoying YOUR life for YOU! So go on...KICK UP YOUR HEELS girl!!
