WOAH! :new_shocked: Absolutely wonderful! I love the pen and ink with the watercolor wash.

Im curious, what type of paper did you use for the watercolors? I've tried diffrent kinds and can't get the right one.
The paper I am practicing is all purpose paper. I do have some cold press paper as I get better. The best water color paper is the hot press...but super spendy.

Carol.. do not be jealous please....remember the reason I am painting again. I am very much enjoying painting...but not the reason for it. You would not want to be in my shoes.

Need to get this Donkey head finished up.

Thanks everyone...you are helping me a lot by just being here.

Scribbles :new_shocked: I think not! Those are true works of art :aktion033:

:new_shocked: If those are just scribble sketches, I wonder what they look like when you get serious!!! GREAT work!! :aktion033:

Took the words right out of my mouth... :new_shocked: Beautiful!

Finished the woodland stump!

This is so weird. One picture is with my flash off...the other on. Neither showing the colors correctly and the photos are fuzzy. Ah..well... here it is..my woodland stump finished.

Am working on drawing up an old barrel with a wild rose on one side..woodland violet and a daffodils on the other.

Isn't this the weirdest thing...without the flash. Totally changed the color of the paper and work.

All I can say is WOW Shari! You are so talented and why are you not doing illustration as a profession? They are absolutely exquisite!

Shari those are really nice! You have got some talent that's for sure! I love to draw and paint too, I love colored pencil. Have you ever seen the work by artist Claudia Nice? She does pen and ink with watercolor, I just love her stuff. I have all of her books.

No, I have never heard of her or seen her work. Will have to look now.

Am glad I decided to try the watercolor pencil and pen and ink. Is very versatile!

Here is a link to Claudia's web site. She is fairly local to us here in the NW. http://brightwoodstudio.com/index.html

I am glad I went looking for it for you, I see she has come out with some interesting new products. Sad to see that Painting Nature is out of print, you would love that one!!! Your painting immediately made me think of that book.

That is a talent I wish I had. You're work is really nice. I can see those bears made into print as well.

ive always been one to look for a reason for bad things happening... Shari perhaps your broken back was meant to make you realize what a talent you have, to bring it out and cause you to share it with us to brighten our lives as well

i must say you have me wondering if i could get some watercolor pencils and draw my donkeys... but if i can't do them justice, i was very serious, i would love to be able to send you some pictures of them and have you draw them for me... i am imagining their fuzzy faces in a row down my hallway, so i can see them even when i am in the house (we do have windows out the back but unfortunately a hillock, trees and the barn block the view from the house to the pasture)

Thank you for that link. I am very isolated from the Art world.

Only one I have known about and only because my Grandmother likes her...is Tasha Tudor.
