He is going to start radiation on the 23rd for six weeks and chemo once a week and they don't know for how long. We can only pray it works. I am on the west coast and sadly he is on the east coast in Pennsylvania. I can't get to him and it makes me feel very helpless in this situation. They will be able to stay with their son and will only be 10 minutes from the Hospital so he won't have to endure long car rides to get the treatment.

My youngest brother is a survivour of a very advanced cancer; (non-hogkins lymphoma) according to his Doctors, it is a miracle he made it...so TRY to be positive...it CAN be beat!!!

I know your horses will help see you through this. It is hard on an entire family, something like this...we all feel so helpless, even if we are right next door.

I am so sorry. My brother had cancer years ago, and had gone 7 years cancer free when it reoccurred. He is in MA I am in TX. I sent him a card every week, some funny, some spiritual, some who knows. For over 12 weeks he got a card once sometimes twice a week. Now that he is in remission he said he loved the cards, and has kept them to look at. Just an idea.

Your bother will be in my prayers.

Marie I am so terribly sorry. I hope the treatment kicks it's butt fast. Wish he were closer to you.

Thanks I appreciate your support. He has been cancer free for 12 yrs. He will be 68yo in June. I'm not ready to lose him.

I do realize we can't live forever. I have faith he will win this battle. Hopefully it is a case where once they shrink it they can remove it and he will once again be cancer free.

Sending the best of thoughts for your brother and all his family. It's a scarey thing that MANY over come!!

I am so very sorry to hear that Marie. I will keep him and your family in my thoughts. ((hugs))

You have him in my thoughts and prayers (with White Healing Light)........and I include you in this as I know how stressed you are.......Please think good thoughts for your brother. It DOES help.

Blessings to you all.......

I am keeping it together. I've been home the last three days with the flu that is going around our area right now. I really could have gone without the bad news right now. My legs ache so bad right now I can't hardly sleep. I think his recovery is going to depend alot on him this time. How hard he wants to fight.

It's hard because there are only 4 of us left, one in Alaska, one in Texas, me in Oregon and George in Pennsylvania. This is George. The one in Texas strangely wants nothing to do with the rest of us so we have lost touch. I doubt he even knows what is going on with George.

Honestly this scares me because I lost a brother in 2006 on Thanksgiving, a brother in 2008 at Christmas and now this one. It is now 2 yrs again and I hate that.

Thank you all again for your support. I can only pray he gets better soon.

I'm sorry to hear it was bad news, I will keep you, your brother and his family in my prayers. Hopefully the chemo will not be too hard on him.
