I know they are talking like they want to judge the minis like they do with the shetlands working with them on the rail at a trot. Sounds all good too me but can you imagine how long that would take at a local show, much less at Nationals.
Maybe there is a better system for us to do it. The way I have seen it done mostly is the judge really does look at how the horse walks, but its at the front, not on the side, and you trot when you past the judge, they will watch but I don't think they watch as seriously as they do at the walk. Also like they have said in miniatures its not judged on movement, we are just judging on how correct they are.
Like some have already said you are going to be seeing a halter vs. performance minis and if it comes down to that then for sure in a halter class I would like to see movement count.
