I thought this is really neat, and thought some of you might think so, too:

are we sure the swan isn't eating the food but needs water since it's dry? That was my first thought, but then again swans eat plants so maybe it is feeding the fish? Thanks for sharing.

I wondered if it was something about cleaning his beak

I'm not sure "what" is in it for the swan but thought it was a pretty cool situation

... but I can't really knock him as I also like feeding our "pet" fish, who don't go out of their way to do anything for me

Saw a similar vieo but it was not quite that nice but nontheless interesting. some fishermen were feeding the fish some bread and they were comming up like in that video, a crane was watching them, the crane then flew to them and they tossed him some bread thinking he was hungry... They were right he was hungry but it wasnt the bread he wanted to eat. He took the bread to a different spot dropped it in the water and as fish came up to eat it... Yep you guessed it he ate the fish. I guess he watched and realized that the fish were attracted to the bread and decided that it would make his dinner easier to catch. I was amazed!!!

That is one smart bird!!! It's amazing the things animals figure out when you watch them.

I saw a video of a horse scratching himself on the back with either a broom or a stick (I have forgotten which) and another one of a horse shaking a tree to make apples drop so he could eat them.

We as humans, don't give other living beings enough credit for caring. I've seen many wonderful example like this and it's always followed with amazement.

My dog knows that as soon as I have an empty plastic bottle or can in my hands that I am going to the back patio where the recycling bin is and runs ahead and waits for me

Watson watches me in the morning and if I put on office clothes, then when I let him out, he will not come back in! (vs. "I'm staying at home" clothes). And I have seen him sitting out in the yard watching me put my make up on, realizing if I'm staying home, I don't put on make up. He's a stinker!

The swan is definately feeding the fish, and enjoying it. If you watch the video, each time the swan feeds the fish, he ruffles the tail feathers. This is a sure indication that there is interaction and happy interaction from the swan. I do bird rescue and this is how birds/fowl show their pleasure/enjoyment. It is a sweet video. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know that about birds ruffling their tail feathers when they are happy! Thanks for sharing that insight and am glad you enjoyed the video, too
