Disgusting. I want to lock him in a crate with no water in 114degree heat for three days.

I don't do facebook, can't read it.

Haven't read it - don't do facebook either but I did read Matt's response so I have an idea.

You know it's not the laws it's the apathetic animal control officers who are as much to blame. My dog was kidnapped. put in a room in 105 degree weather and left there for one week with no food or water. We found out who did it..had witnesses who knew who did it, had fingerprints, had PHOTOS and after numerous calls to the Redmond Humane Society and their animal control officers I was told "oh we don't follow up on most animal abuse cases...they're too hard to prove" They wouldn't even follow up despite the fact that the DA was prosecuting the a** holes who committed this horrendous crime. OMG !!!!!! How much more evidence do you need !!!! Sure lost my respect for animal control and the humane society that day

Danna, That boils..........I'm so sorry. How long ago was that?

That kind of thing should be documented because people are collecting information about that kind abuse and research it to change the laws.

Personally, I don't have much to do with the humane society in Redmond or Bend.....My contact is with the Crook Co. shelter. They are awesome.

Hi MA,

it was 3 years ago and they did absolutely nothing about it. I was so disgusted. I can hardly imagine how the animal (MY dog) suffered (and what other atrocities they committed towards her) The DA went after them for burglary, destruction of property, criminal mischief etc. and every one was found guilty. In fact a few days ago we called the DA and one is still in prison (after he did what he did to my dog he went out and kidnapped and raped a young girl) But Redmond Humane Society actually told me they wouldn't do a thing. So if they wouldn't follow up on a case with that much evidence what cases do they follow up on?

Sorry...but to this day it saddens me that my dog suffered so much and it meant nothing to them
