I suppose this is my favorite book. It has to be since I read it decades ago and will not part with it and read it again a few years ago.

It is historical fiction and will make a lifelong impression on anyone that reads it. It is like the Gone With The Wind of Texas! I cannot believe that it has never been made into a movie.

I am not going to tell you anything about it other than title and author. You can read the reviews on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, etc.

I hope the book club considers it and if you are like me and don't have much time for reading you can put it in your memory bank for future reading.

I read this years ago, think it is one I inherited - or absconded with

- from my mom's bookshelf. Maybe I need to read it again, have forgotten the story by now.
