The storm is over for us out in eastern mass, but maybe a few small showers here and there. All we have are a bunch of small branches down, nothing huge. Hope everyone is still staying safe!

I hope I am not speaking too soon, but it seems like we live in the right part of little CT. The storm was supposed to go right over us and apparently veered a bit west. To the west of us there was up to 10" of rain & lots of flooding, and to the east of us, lots of power outages. I heard 45% of the state is without power, but ours never went out. We lost one dead tree that hit nothing and is lying in the pasture. We did get heavy rain but that has been pretty common this summer, so it wasn't even as bad as last weekend.

Horses are all out again and enjoying sunshine!

Hey all

We made it through Irene. I wanted to thank everyone for thier support and prayers.

We had some trees down, but lots of flooding. We literally have a lake in our field. Ducks, have arrived and loving it. Our basement is destroyed. BUT we still dont have power. We had to buy a generator. So its been a day and a half.

I hope everyone else is safe. My prayers go out!

We made it through the hurricane ok, no major damage. We have nor power or phone or DSL, lol,. My husband had a dr appt today so we drove into Virginia Beach, VA and I am at a Starbucks using their free wi-fi, gotta love it. Will be back on as soon as we get power and DSL in Corapeake, again. Hope everyone else is ok. Karen Boone in Corapeake, NC

Just thought I would add that there are LOTS of people that aren't out of the woods yet and still need our prayers. About half of CT and most of RI is still without power and plenty of people in other states are also waiting for power to come back on. Those are just the ones that were in our paper. In addition to water (especially for the horses), gasoline and food will be hard to come by for awhile.

Well NJ and VT and the flooding that is still happening is making our news clear out here on a daily basis- hope all is well with folks there! Looks like a lot of damage in some places.

I'm glad to see the ones checking in are okay!! I pray that everyone else is okay too!
