I haven't been able to see the series (no cable) but I've read all the books and I am addicted!

It's so bad when I finished the last one I started all over again- TWICE!

http://www.tv-dome.net/ So you haven't watched it at all?! Start at the beginning. I watched the first season, last year, on a weekend.

We're loving it too! My sister and I've read all the books and my mom just started watching the show, so every Sunday night Mo and I drive down and watch it with them. I'm actually really enjoying how different it is from the books, though admittedly I blush a little watching some of the scenes next to my mom (especially since she has a very juvenile sense of humor).

I think they've done an excellent job with casting, too.

I had watched Season 1 on DVD before I read any of the books. I didn't like it at first, it really took some getting used to, and, of course, I couldn't watch it with my girls around!

After that, I finally gave in and read the books. I have to say, I like the books better. After the first one, I was hooked and had to go to the library and find all the others! I also bought the last one when it came out in May. I want to go through and re-read all of them again! But I had decided to watch Season 2 on DVD - but I was waiting for my brother to buy it as he and my SIL really like it.

Matt - I didn't even know about that site - so thank you! I am starting with Season 2 now, it will take me a while to watch all of them, but that is great!

thanks for the info on the site. I have read all the books but never watched the show until our daughter moved back home. Since she was a big fan she agreed to pay for HBO. Now I can go to the site and catch up. The show has such a different story line than the books I am having a hard time figuring out the back story on everyone.

(I will say for now I like the books much better)

I am enjoying the 3rd season so far....last season I didn't like as much.....but I have read all the books and I do like how they are moving along the story lines........ I like the casting as well, I think they did a good job...... esp with Eric...... who would want Bill when you can pick Eric?...oh, ok, maybe that is just me...... I do think they improved Bills looks from the first season though....haha.

I am so glad I am not the only True Blood addict......

Big fans here too. My daughter and I watch it every Sunday. I watch very little TV, but I won't miss True Blood

I have read all but the latest book (waiting until it comes out in paperback). I wasn't to thrilled with the second last one, Dead and Gone. I love having the books to read when the season is over, but I kind of prefer the series. It's wonderfully done; with Alan Ball (Six Feet Under), how could it not be brilliant? Loving the eye candy
