Cute cute cute! Ratties are the best dogs...my Rattie is Tanga in my avatar.

I've always had big dogs, Shepherds mostly, and obe little mixed breed dog that was probably poodle and some sort of terrier--she was a great little dog.

Lewella told me last year that we need a couple of rat terriers, and I didn't know how right she was. This spring it worked out just right for us to get these two puppies from her, and here they are. There just aren't any ratties around here--it is one breed I never see advertised locally--one fellow saw these and wanted to buy one--so I gave him Lewella's number. He certainly wasn't getting one of my girls!

These girls are smart, but they are like bratty little kids! They know they are not to go to the road, but take your eye off them for a minute snd where are they? Headed for the road! And fight--they love to fight. Mostly it is good natured fighting, but sometimes it goes too far. It's all fun until someone gets pinched, and then...someone gets mad! The are so cute though, and they love to cuddle--and they like to help in the garden; Lucie will pull weeds...or vegetables, she isn't fussy--and Ellie will carry newly dug potatoes to the house for me (big help--NOT!)

They are not real popular here either, at least not in Michigan. They will settle down. They are extremely intelligent, playful but love to cuddle....they love being up high, like on the back of the couch, etc.... I, like you, always had big to med sized dogs, lab...and wasn't sure how a little dog would fit with us. He fits perfect, they are very versitile. Packed with personality, not ankle biters. Tanga is now 4 and he still likes to fight, my 13 year old mix in my avatar has to put him in his place at times when they are play fighting. I love when Tanga gets excited and does his 'howl'....other than that he rarely barks. I will definately be getting another someday....the only downside I've found to this breed is the shedding...yes the hair is short but they shed horribly...worse than any dog I've ever owned....with yours being mostly black, forget wearing anything white....with mine forget wearing anything dark colored cause his little white hairs are like glue! Come to think of it your girls have lots of white too...you may not be able to wear anything...lol. Have fun with them, great little dogs!

Naked and covered in black and white dog hair? There's a pretty picture! LMAO
Yep, their hair sticks to skin too...with two it might be like wearing a fur coat....put some heals on and you'll be all sexy...lol ;)
