update on Mom

Mom has a bleed in her brain from the fall. The stomach pain turned out to be nothing but the bleed has grown since yesterday. The neurologist said that it would be a couple more days before we would know if it sealed itself off. She has been on Plavix (blood thinner) for several years and it is doing its job, it is keeping her blood from clotting which is also keeping this bleed from sealing.

The Plavix should be out of her system by tomorrow and hopefully then, the bleed will seal.

She is displaying the symptoms of a head injury (extreme confusion and the repetitive motions).

She has had an awful amount of stress in the last month and that is a contributing factor. She lost her sister and my Dad within two weeks of each other.

My brother in law, Lee, is in the same hospital because he had a mild stroke yesterday.

Our family is getting the ultimate test of strength right now.

I appreciate all of the prayers and good thoughts, they are working, Mom is a lot more responsive today which is a good thing.

I just wanted to post an update and tell everybody Thank You. I am now going to go crash for a few hours so I can go back to the hospital in the morning.

Wow girl.

That is a pretty full plate you got there. I hope the bleed quits today. Will be looking for a good update. And it is nice that your brother in law is in the same hospital instead of across the country. Hope he recovers quickly.

OMG Mary! I can't imagine. There you & Judy were, handling things and keeping everything together, being strong. And now Judy's husband Lee had a stroke? The stress and worry you must be under! I wish there was something I could do besides send prayers and healing thoughts! I pray your mom's bleeding stops and that they can help her. And that Lee recovers well & fast.

Please God, help this family. Mary is a true friend and needs your comfort now. Amen

I hope things will improve for your mom today, and the bleed will seal itself. Your family is not having an easy time of it at all. Hopefully your brother in law's stroke will not leave him with any damage and he will soon be on his feet again. My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family!
